A glance in the rear-view mirror on the way home from work provided the light bulb moment that sparked it all. It was the moment that raised a few simple questions. Surely there are stylish protective eyewear on the market? Surely we can find quality safety glasses out there that aren't disposable? Surely we could ditch these speed dealers forever?

That’s the thing: There wasn’t, and we couldn’t.

From humble beginnings shipping protective eyewear from the bedroom, to the thriving brand we’ve become today, our mission is clear: To pioneer fashion-forward protective eyewear for like-minded individuals.

A pair that you could wear anywhere, from the worksite to the weekend. To do so not at the expense of Mother Nature, but in harmony with her. To push boundaries, break norms, and enjoy the journey along the way.

SafeStyle® stands as a certified fashion-forward, innovative protective eyewear company marking a revolutionary shift in the industry. The collision of design, safety, sustainability, form and function has redefined the protective eyewear game forever.

Founded by Tim Lewis, a former plumber of 8 years, who was inspired to create SafeStyle after catching a glimpse of himself in the rear-view mirror wearing cheap throwaway safety glasses, this encounter was the spark that started it all.

As SafeStyle evolved, it became clear that individuals and companies alike shared a common dissatisfaction with their safety eyewear. Disposable, undesirable and uncomfortable protective eyewear was soon to be a thing of the past.

Fast forward to now, SafeStyle offers a large range of signature frame designs, colours and lens technology allowing our customers to find their perfect fit, all certified to medium impact AS/NZS 1337.1 protection for confidence in all conditions.

DO YOU OFFER WARRANTY?

All SafeStyle non-prescription protective eyewear includes a 30 day warranty as set out by the SafeStyle Wholesale Warranty Policy. Refer to the SafeStyle Manufacturer Warranty Policy 2025 for full Ts and Cs.

CAN THE SIDE SHIELDS BE REMOVED?

No, the side shield is fixed. If the side shield is removed, this will void any safety certifications.

IS THE SIDE SHIELD UV400?*

Yes.

WHAT IS UV400?*

‘UV400’ refers to UV rays at the top end of the UV spectrum, up to the 400-nanometer wavelength. Meaning the lens and frames are blocking the harmful UV rays and helping reduce the visible signs of aging.

WHAT DOES BASE CURVE MEAN?

Base curve is the lens curvature around the face and graded lowest to highest. For example a 4 base curve will sit flatter on the face compared to a frame that is 8 base that will curve and wrap around the face.

CAN I SWAP THE LENSES?

We don’t sell the lenses separately, if the lens is popped out this will void any safety certifications.

ARE YOUR GLASSES MADE IN AUSTRALIA?

All our glasses are designed in Australia and manufactured in our facility in Taiwan.

HOW DO I CLEAN THE GLASSES?

When cleaning your pair refrain from using products that have any chemicals or are alcohol-based. We always recommend just using warm soapy water. To keep your frames in their best condition we advise customers to use the hard case when not in use, and to clean their frames after pro-longed use of sunscreen, insect repellent or some makeup.
