Others is the Salvation Army’s global social enterprise, using fair trade as a tool for job creation, empowerment, and poverty alleviation.
The main goal of OTHERS is creating employment. The core of the concept is that each product that you buy contributes to the creation of fairly compensated work for people who would otherwise have limited opportunities. Production units are in many cases linked with The Salvation Army’s community development programs, where producers receive necessary counseling and support.
