IT Professional Training Centre is an SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) approved organisation. Centre Name: IT Professional Training Centre No. : 3017451 IT Professional Training is an approved Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) centre; where we currently offer Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND). We conduct HNC Computing, Computer Networking and HND Computing in the Technical Support, Networking, Soft ware Development, Computer Science field. And as per the rules and regulations of SQA, ITPT has to adhere strictly to SQA teaching centre quality standards. We are subjected to unscheduled visits from SQA External Verifiers to make sure that we are fulfilling SQA partnership quality assurance requirements. Systems verification is the process by which SQA ensures centres are managing their systems and resources to meet SQAâ€™s Quality Assurance Criteria. SQA provides specific guidance in relation to each quality assurance criterion for systems, which we need to make sure to follow accordingly otherwise sanctions will be imposed. The Systems Verifiers will work from exactly the same guidance. There are other quality assurance criteria that only cover qualification verification. Qualification verification is the process by which SQA ensures that centres are assessing their candidates in line with national standards, and that assessment decisions comply with SQAâ€™s Quality Assurance Criteria (the full criteria are available in the quality assurance section of the SQA website). We are obliged to SQA in providing documentary evidence against the quality criteria. For systems verification we need to provide evidence of the implementation of policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. We must ensure that ITPT is fully conversant with SQA guidance and policies and procedures align with this We are also a partner and an approved BCS authorised centre, where we currently accommodates ECDL students. We, at ITPT (IT Professional Training Ltd) appreciate the importance of Quality in every aspect of any organisation, that’s why we work hard to improve our organisation and the services we provide to our students, clients and personnel, we always try to ensure that they get the best quality possible with every service we deliver within our organisation e.g. customer service, in-house facilities, IT equipment, teaching methods, study materials, work environment, standard of staff we employ and so on and so forth. Quality assurance is a way of preventing mistakes or defects in manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers. Because we believe there is room for improvement in everything, we tend to organise formal as well as informal meetings twice a month to discuss the organisation issues (if any), we gather and analyse evidence, evidence in the form of feedback forms, complaint forms, and mock exam results. We believe in well documented & professional level organisational communication a good company should adopt most of the time. This will allow our designated SQA & other staff to communicate within the organisation and with SQA & others steadily and responsibly. It will also allow the system to work efficiently towards achieving targets and will also be beneficial to resolve if come across with any difficulty in the future. Our main goal is to keep the process in understandable format, tidy, hassle free and easy to be obtained in the future if it is required. And this is why we have 2 to 3 dedicated staff in our administration system

The ITPT library provides a model for enquiry learning and establishing knowledge and confidence in seeking and processing information. There is a large and growing body of evidence showing the impact of the library on our student achievements. Library reflects and encourages collaborative learning and sharing of ideas

ITPT library which has an exclusive collection of books to entertain our students so they can access to their relevant educational resources which can be used in gaining further knowledge. People with limited means may not be able to afford a computer with Internet access. Books are extremely expensive now a days and not easy to be afforded by all. We have placed a moderate collection of our courses reference books and materials relevant to their studies, the major advantage is that students can have access to books without paying for them. It is an elementary resource for supporting studentsâ€™ learning, and a key support for teaching staff.

We have created Moodle to facilitate our students to do home learning. It helped us to create effective online teaching and learning experiences in an engaging environment that’s collaborative and completely private. Moodle is a virtual learning environment (VLE) that allows ITPT to create courses online.

Content such as course materials, tutor power point slides, courses timetables and reading links, providing a constant and easily accessible reference for students to consult. Our Moodle also offers a number of interactive tools, to get students engaging with course content and collaborating with their peers. What we offer through our MOODLE Virtual Learning? ITPT Moodle is a learning platform that enables our students to easily and effectively create and manage courses, activities and communities online. There are numerous online resources at ITPT that Moodle can reference, including Course Book PDF’s , ITPT Bank of questions and past exam papers which is to help students when preparing for their final exams. which encourage the continuation of discussions outside the classrooms. Other features include quizzes, which strengthen students' learning, and glossaries to create a knowledge pool. This can also help students to judge their ability of understanding the topics delivered in the class.

ITPT LABs & Practical Learning Environment ITPT - uniquely focuses on not only instructor-led theoretical knowledge but also supervised practical experience . Our courses incorporate intensive and extensive hands-on exercise to boost the theoretical knowledge of our students with an invaluable practical expertise which is our core precedence. ITPT “Practical Laboratory” is a learning environment where students have the prospect of engaging in active learning and to exhibit, through hands-on activities, the understanding of the practical components of a specified d iscipline. Our Practical Laboratory can be used to increase classroom learning, and provide additional opportunities for students to work through practical scenarios typical of their relevant disciplines. We have three dedicated enormous networking labs and three is in progress specifically for CEH, CCNA Voice, Forensic/Cyber Security. Currently we have 40 & more CCNA (R&S)/CCNA Security/CCNA Wireless & CCNP pods populated with a number of devices including Cisco routers 1841, 2800, 2600, 2801, Cisco switches 2960’s, 3650’s, 3750’s, 3550’s, 2950’s, 2900’s, 3500’s, and Cisco ASA’s. Some course materials are made available as interactive, web-based content. At the ITPT we deliver diverse multimedia materials and provide links to background information where possible.

Volunteer Work Experience provided by ITPT

We also provide opportunity to those who likes to have live hands on volunteer experience, which is obtainable at our other IT venture called SixthSenseIT depending on at learner convenience and who has urge to learn more. They will be trained as a First line Technician or IT operator trainees, their job responsibilities will be involved in answering queries over the phone or via email, helping clients to resolve any IT queries, organising business on-site visits for IT support, visiting clients for IT support, fixing laptop, desktop, tablet, printer, console games, servers, remote desktop support to our existing clients and a lot more to learn. They can also join in any of their on-going project provided relevant to their subject studied. This opportunity is exclusively for our in house students who are learning at IT Professional Training. We also have a joint venture with a very well known financial organisation called AccountaxCA where we forward our clients to get experience in Microsoft Word, Excel & Database. We will soon be forwarding our accounting students to Accountax to get volunteer experience in accounting studies which we have recently applied to SQA for the approval. At the end of your tenure, you will be awarded an experience letter in some cases transportation allowances to cover your expenses depending upon how many days you are trained for. This opportunity is limited and only applies to those who can comply with the companyâ€™s rules and policy.

Any students seeking to get admission directly to any HND faculty must pass HNC Computing and as the HNC Computing is a 12 Credits award it is recommended that candidates top up their qualifications with an additional relevant 3 SQA credits prior to articulating to the second year of the award.
