Fortunately Rush offers a resource to help you and your loved ones navigate the health care process, allowing you to focus your energies on what matters most: your health and your family.
Patient Special Services staff support our patients and their families who require assistance accessing Rush’s clinical services, helping to ensure that the Rush experience is exceptional. The staff’s extensive knowledge and connections within the Rush community provide patients with the expertise they need to access Rush’s renowned clinical teams, diagnostic services and treatments as comfortably and conveniently as possible.

Services Provided
• Assistance in identifying appropriate medical specialists at Rush
• Scheduling medical appointments
• Coordinating multiple and timely medical appointments
• Coordinating executive health physicals
• Facilitating guest services for hospitalized patients, including special meals and in-room services upon request
• Arranging travel and lodging for out-of-town guests, including affordable accommodations at the IMD Guest House, a home away from home for families and friends of patients receiving care in the Illinois Medical District
• Assistance protecting the privacy of public figures seeking services at Rush University Medical Center
Comfortable Accommodations for Patients and Families
With campus locations in the Professional Building and the Tower, Patient Special Services’ Hunter-Antalek Suite serves as a semiprivate respite area where patients and families can comfortably wait between appointments or while a loved one is having a procedure.
The suite provides refreshments and business center amenities, including computer and wireless access, a desk, phones, fax and a copier. Patient Special Services staff members are available to assist guests with their needs throughout their stay. Please contact Patient Special Services in advance of your visit to ensure that accommodations will be available.
