Like many businesses in Lincoln, my father derived our name from the ‘Lincoln Imp’, a stone carving found in Lincoln’s historic cathedral and founded Running Imp in 1988 as a ‘onestop-shop’ for event organisers. Little did he imagine that 38 years later it would have grown into the market leader in our field that it has today.

We specialise in bespoke medals and are the UK’s leading supplier delivering over 4 million medals worldwide each year, from village fun runs to some of the world’s greatest mass participation events including the TCS London Marathon and the AJ Bell Great North Run, however, no event is too large, but more importantly, too small

But we’re more than just a ‘one-stopshop’ for event organisers. We also specialise in supplying trophies, t-shirts, promotional items and clothing to clubs, schools, charities and organisations, and guarantee that we will not be beaten on price, quality or service.

We also care passionately about the environment and sustainability and can now offer 100% recycled medals, ribbons and pin badges and have installed 220 solar panels on our Jubilee House headquarters in Lincoln to become more eco-friendly, see below.

How Many Colour Stations Should I Have?

For a 5K Colour Run we would suggest a Colour Station at the Start, then at 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K and at the Finish. This though very much depends on your course as it might consist of multiple laps and the Start and Finish may be combined.

What if it gets in my eyes? Is the colour powder edible? Is the colour powder safe?

Our product is Non-Toxic and Non-Irritant to skin and conforms to EN71-3 Standards for a safe and fun event.

Just rinse with water and everything will be ok as our powder is non-toxic but for added eye protection we recommend wearing a pair of our sunglasses.

Yes it is. It is 100% safe to ingest but we advise you to wear it, not eat it!

Personal clean up operation

To get the colour powder out of hair and off skin it is best to do it whilst it is still dry. Shake it off first then just wash as normal and maybe repeat.

Event clean up operation

Rain should wash away the colour powder from either the grass, pavements or roads or you can use a hose or leaf blower.

Inflated Anywhere

Each gantry comes with a freestanding blower which will inflate it within seconds. Both petrol and electric blowers are now available; the advantage of a petrol blower is that the gantry can be inflated anywhere, and not restricted to a nearby power point.
