RUInsights Volume 6

A WORD FROM OUR CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER DEAR TEAM,

The first quarter of 2026 has flown by With spring now in full bloom, we’re looking ahead to more time outdoors with walks in the courtyard, celebrations under the sun, fresh air, and the sense of renewal this season brings.

Recently, we’ve shared materials that position senior living as a chance

to "start fresh" rather than "start over " In many ways, that same

mindset has shaped our journey at RUI. This past year has been marked by new beginnings, fresh perspectives, and valuable insights all centered around one core theme: culture. Not just any culture, but one that people genuinely want to be part of One that each of us helps build and sustain A culture that encourages trying new things, taking ownership, and recognizing the importance of every role in our day-to-day operations

As we reflect on what sets our company apart, the answer consistently comes back to our people. Across every department, our service is defined by how we collaborate, communicate, and live out our values. These core values aren’t simply words we recite or memorize, they reflect the mindset that forms the foundation of our culture.

As we move into this next quarter, I encourage each of you to strive for excellence in all that you do, whatever that looks like in your role That intentional mindset is what strengthens a culture of dependable, passionate team members who take pride in their work and the service they provide every day.

That’s the culture we’re building - together. Because culture isn’t given, it’s created, and it starts with each of us.

SINCERELY,

INTRODUCING THE TEAM

We are excited to welcome two new team members to the RUI Home Office Team! Chris Coulling has assumed the role of Director of IT and Support Services, and Matthew Deacon has started as our Corporate Director of Culinary Operations. If you see Chris or Matthew at your community, take a moment to say “Hi” and welcome them to the RUI Family!

Coulling

"Ask me about what I'm curious about.”

"Ask me about food. Ingredients, food history, and the development of cuisine from survival necessities into the artisanal staples we know today. I find the story of food fascinating and will talk at length given the opportunity.”
