Diana Povolotskaya grew up in Moscow, Russia where she learned to be a professional classical singer. Diana traveled the world, singing in many countries, including South America, China and Japan. In 1992 Diana immigrated to the United States with her parents where she continued her career as professional classical singer After living 20 years in Tucson, Arizona where Diana raised her three children, she and her husband George Hanson moved to Virginia in 2019. Diana is a very passionate artist and loves working with the seniors. “Music is a very powerful tool. It’s so good for the memory, heart and soul. Making music together brings so much love, smiles and joy!

Not only is calligraphy fun, it can also support fine motor skills, hand strength, dexterity, and cognitive engagement. With a little patience (and plenty of encouragement!), everyone will leave with a completed piece—usually a handmade greeting card to take home and enjoy

Aubrey Broxson is a Northern Virginia calligrapher and hand-lettering artist based in Falls Church City, Virginia. She fell in love with calligraphy and hand lettering in high school, spending late nights journaling, crafting, and doodling in the margins of her notebooks Over the past nine years, her hobby has come and gone with different seasons of life, but her passion for calligraphy has remained. After refining her skills, Aubrey opened Art By Aubrey Virginia to share her work with others. In addition to lettering, she enjoys experimenting with other crafts including watercolor, painting, knitting, and journaling.
