Learning always begins with curiosity and exploration! The children were very excited to explore the Unit of Inquiry with the story “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. ”
Together, we went on an imaginary adventure, exploring different habitats just like in the story. The children listened carefully and joined in with the fun sounds, swishy grass, splishy water, and squelchy mud! At the provocation table, they explored sensory materials that represented each habitat. They touched, felt, and described what they discovered, using their senses to imagine what it would be like to go on a real bear hunt.

Through this playful experience, the children developed their language, imagination, and understanding of nature. It was wonderful to see their excitement, teamwork, and curiosity grow as they explored and learned through story, play, and discovery.
