The EY3 field trip to Semmozhi Poonga was a delightful blend of learning and enjoyment, offering learners a refreshing escape into nature. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by fresh air, vibrant flowers, and lush greenery, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere
One of the highlights of the visit was the buggy ride, which added a sense of excitement and adventure to the day.
LEARNERS ALSO EAGERLY EXPLORED THE MAZE GARDEN, COLLABORATING WITH ONE ANOTHER TO NAVIGATE THEIR WAY THROUGH IT. THIS EXPERIENCE ENCOURAGED TEAMWORK AND PROBLEM SOLVING.
Aligned with our Unit of Inquiry on Maps and Globes, learners used simple maps to understand directions and identify key areas of the park. This hands on activity helped them make meaningful real life connections to their classroom learning.

Using simple materials, they recreated pathways, spaces, and learning corners with thoughtful detail, bringing their surroundings to life.
Our little Ruh’lers embarked on a meaningful task of mapping their campus, transforming observation into creative expression

Our Grade 3 learners were welcomed into a vibrant four-corner classroom experience that transformed the learning space into different types of marketplaces.
Each corner represented a unique setting, a local market, toy shop, supermarket and bookstore, inviting learners to step in, observe closely and wonder deeply. AS LEARNERS ROTATED THROUGH EACH CORNER, THEY SHARED THOUGHTFUL OBSERVATIONS, DISCUSSED SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES, AND EXPLORED QUESTIONS SUCH AS WHAT IS BEING SOLD? HOW ARE ITEMS ORGANISED? WHO MIGHT BE THE BUYERS AND SELLERS?
Through these rich conversations and hands-on experiences, learners began making meaningful connections to the real world RELEVANCE

This week’s food preparation session was infused with the warmth of Valentine’s Week, featuring delightful laddus and neatly crafted sandwiches More than the menu, it was the spirit of participation that stood out.
Learners immersed themselves in every step, shaping, layering, and assembling with care and enthusiasm.

The space came alive with teamwork, conversation, and shared pride What began as a routine activity evolved into a celebration of collaboration, mindfulness, and joy By the end, the finished treats symbolized not just culinary effort, but togetherness, a sweet reflection of learning shaped by both skill and heart.

With shopping lists in hand and a budget to manage, they explored Uzhavar Sandhai and purchased freshly harvested fruits and vegetables directly from farmers. They also visited Uyir Organic to observe how this market differs from other marketplaces
Our Grade 3 learners had an exciting real-life learning experience as they stepped into the world of marketplaces.
LEARNERS CONFIDENTLY INTERVIEWED FARMERS AND SELLERS, ASKING THOUGHTFUL QUESTIONS AND GATHERING VALUABLE INSIGHTS. THEY DISCOVERED HOW MARKETS FUNCTION, WHO THE PRODUCERS AND SELLERS ARE, HOW PRICES ARE DECIDED, AND WHY THEY VARY FROM PLACE TO PLACE.
Through inquiry, reflection, and real-world application, our learners deepened their understanding of how communities function and strengthened their skills as thoughtful, responsible decision-makers

As part of the parent engagement activity, Mrs. Mariyam Tandiwala brought creativity and curiosity to EY2 during an engaging science session.
A fashion designer and certified IGI gemologist, she combined imagination with hands-on experiments that filled the classroom with excitement.

From colorful handprints appearing as if by magic, to soap bubbles floating through the air and a candle rising inside a jar, each activity transformed science into playful discovery. The learners explored, observed, and laughed together, experiencing the joy of learning. The session beautifully demonstrated that when science is presented creatively, it inspires wonder and captures young minds
