ORBITING IDEAS BROUGHT TO LIFE

FEB 2026

Exhibition

Grade 5 learners showcased remarkable enthusiasm and understanding through their impressive scale model of the Solar System. Their project demonstrated a clear and confident grasp of planetary sizes, relative positions, and distances from the Sun

By carefully researching each planet, students were able to represent distinguishing features such as color, rings, and surface characteristics with impressive attention to detail. Their creativity shone through in the thoughtful design choices that made each planet unique while still maintaining scientific accuracy.

K12 CAMPUS

The project built responsibility and pride, fostering focus, teamwork, perseverance, and meaningful connections between classroom learning and scientific exploration.

PERSEVERANCE

This hands-on activity provided a valuable opportunity for students to move beyond textbooks and experience science in an engaging and practical way Constructing the model encouraged critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration as learners worked together to measure, compare, and assemble their display.

CLAY CREATURES MYSTERY

FEB 2026

K12 CAMPUS

Critical Thinking

Our Grade 8 learners embraced creativity and critical thinking through the “Clay Creatures Mystery” activity Using pure clay, each student carefully sculpted a three dimensional animal form while keeping their creation a secret from classmates This added an element of excitement and curiosity to the session

Once the models were complete, peers observed the sculptures closely and attempted to identify each creature using visual clues such as shape, texture, posture, and distinctive features

The activity encouraged learners to think imaginatively while also paying attention to detail.

INTERPRETATION

As they analyzed one another’s work, students practiced observation, interpretation, and respectful discussion. The classroom atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as learners shared ideas and justified their guesses thoughtfully.

These shared moments of joy beautifully reflected the magic of storytelling and its power to connect hearts and minds

This engaging exercise blended artistic expression with analytical reasoning, allowing students to explore both creativity and logical thinking in a structured setting.

By combining art with problem solving and collaboration, the activity created a meaningful and memorable learning experience for everyone involved

THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE “BENT” PENCIL

FEB 2026

Refraction

Grade 5 learners watched in amazement as an ordinary pencil appeared bent when placed in a glass of water. What seemed like a magic trick quickly turned into an exciting science lesson

Through this simple and engaging hands on experiment, students were introduced to the concept of refraction, which explains how light changes direction when it moves from one material to another, such as from air into water.

K12 CAMPUS

As they observed the pencil closely, learners began asking questions and sharing their ideas about why the illusion occurred. Guided discussion helped them understand that the bending appearance was not the pencil changing shape, but light shifting as it traveled through different mediums.

This memorable activity connected classroom theory to real life experiences, deepening their curiosity and strengthening their understanding of scientific concepts.

HYPOTHESIS

A MAGICAL DAY AT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN

FEB 2026

Exploration

The recent visit to the Botanical Garden opened a vibrant new world for our Early Years learners. Surrounded by lush greenery, towering trees, and colorful blooms, the children experienced the quiet magic of nature in an engaging and meaningful way.

As they walked along the garden paths, curious hands gently explored different leaves and petals, noticing variations in shapes, textures, and scents Eager eyes observed butterflies, insects, and birds, turning simple moments into exciting discoveries.

K12 CAMPUS

The outdoor setting encouraged questions and conversations, allowing learners to connect classroom discussions about plants and living things with real life experiences Alongside exploration, they enjoyed the freedom of open spaces, where laughter echoed during playful moments with friends.

PLAYFULNESS

The visit offered a balanced blend of discovery and recreation, nurturing curiosity, observation skills, and social interaction.

It was truly a day filled with wonder, joy, and meaningful learning, where nature became both classroom and playground.

SESSION ON FINANCES AND BUDGETING

FEB 2026

Decision Making

Learners from Grades 5 and 7 recently participated in an engaging financial literacy session that strengthened their understanding of money management and responsible decision making

Aarav and Sashwath from Grade 7 shared that the session highlighted the importance of using money wisely, minimising unnecessary spending, and prioritising savings before expenses Through interactive activities, they learned to distinguish between wants and needs, avoid waste, and plan budgets effectively

RESPONSIBILITY

Concepts such as EMI, SIP, and goal based budgeting were explained clearly, helping them understand how to prevent overspending and manage finances responsibly.

Sara Satheesh from Grade 5B reflected on learning the three S’s spend, save, and share through practical budgeting exercises within ₹1000.

She also gained insight into SIP and the power of compounding, along with clarity on stocks, assets, and the origin of money Overall, the session inspired students to build strong financial habits and develop essential life skills for the future

The celebration not only highlighted culinary skills but also deepened cultural understanding, making it an enjoyable, educational, and memorable experience for everyone involved.

DEVELOPING ARTISTIC CONFIDENCE

FEB 2026

Observation

In Grade 9, drawing from direct observation with coloured pencils has become a meaningful journey of growth and discovery. As learners work on their coursework, they are encouraged to explore different media, and this exercise equips them with essential skills in handling coloured pencils and mastering shading techniques.

Taking learning outdoors added a new dimension to their experience. Using handmade viewfinders, learners carefully selected scenes to record, thoughtfully considering composition.

COMPOSITION

Concepts such as the rule of thirds, triangular composition, and diagonal composition were explored in a practical and engaging way. Valuable tips were shared, strengthening their observational skills and confidence.

One cannot help but feel proud when witnessing the accuracy and artistic development emerging at Ruh.

Over the past two years, the transformation has been remarkable. When learners compare their early work with recent pieces, they see clear evidence of progress, often surpassing their own expectations and discovering new confidence in their abilities
