“A Brand-New Year of Little Learners”

JAN 2026
January welcomed the new year at Ruh with a beautiful blend of new beginnings, cultural celebrations and enriching shared experiences The month began with an orientation for the parents of our new Parent Toddler batch, helping families understand our environment, routines and philosophy, and setting the foundation for a strong partnership ahead.

Our environments buzzed with excitement as children engaged in meaningful experiences that connected them to culture, nature, stories and the world around them Each celebration and activity was thoughtfully planned to nurture curiosity, joy and a sense of belonging, making January a month filled with learning, connection and exploration.
January set a purposeful tone for the year ahead, strengthening family partnerships and enriching children’s experiences through culture, connection, and exploration, while nurturing a shared sense of belonging within the Ruh community.

January was a lively and enriching month in our toddler environment, filled with hands-on experiences and joyful celebrations The children celebrated Pongal at Ruh by coming dressed in festive attire and taking part in simple, meaningful activities such as cleaning groundnuts and observing the Pongal preparation.

A special skit performed by the educators beautifully illustrated where our food comes from and highlighted the important role of farmers, helping the children form an early connection with gratitude and culture.
Literacy Week was another highlight, as parents joined us as mystery readers, bringing stories to life for the children The toddlers listened with curiosity and excitement as familiar voices read their favourite books
Educators added to the magic with a delightful play on Goldilocks and the Three Bears, along with several engaging read-aloud sessions. This enthusiasm for stories continued with “RUH Pages to Life, ” where educators and learners dressed up as beloved book characters, filling the environment with imagination and joy

As part of our plantation drive, children whose birthdays fell in November, December and January visited Ukkadam Lake, where they participated in planting seedlings This experience gently introduced the children to caring for nature and understanding their role in nurturing the environment Republic Day was marked with a sensory art activity, during which the children explored colours and created the tricolour flag with pride and interest
January came to a close as a heartwarming reminder that when educators, parents and children come together, learning becomes meaningful, celebrations become memorable, and experiences leave a lasting impact

January at RUH unfolded with renewed energy and meaningful beginnings The month opened with a Parent Orientation, warmly welcoming new families into the RUH community, followed closely by the joyful return of our Ruh’lers as Term 3 commenced after the winter break Early in the month, a visit to the Children’s Traffic Park offered learning connected to road safety and community awareness

Pongal was celebrated with warmth and purpose, as educators presented a simple yet powerful skit depicting the harvest cycle and honouring the hard work of farmers Literacy Week brought stories alive through engaging Mystery Reader sessions and thoughtful narratives, culminating in RUH Pages to Life, where Ruh’lers stepped into the learning environment dressed as beloved book characters.

A plantation drive added a touch of green responsibility, while Republic Day celebrations filled the space with pride, music, and the colours of the nation, making January a month rich in learning, values, and joyful participation

We opened this year’s Parent Wise with one of our most awaited session, ‘Dad On Board’ , and what a beautiful start it was. We were truly humbled by the huge turnout of dads who chose to show up.
Hosted by our Parent Educator, Ms. Hadrin, the session itself was a powerful reminder that fatherhood today is evolving.

The very fact that our dads chose to be here spoke volumes about the intention, effort, and love they bring into their role as fathers.
Together, we explored the importance of the father–child bond and reflected on what it truly means to be present. Through open discussions, relatable questions, and lots of laughter, we came together to create our own “dad-to-do lists” with simple, meaningful actions to become the dad their child truly needs
The morning was filled with heartfelt conversations, honest sharing, and moments that reminded us we’re not alone in this journey As the session came to a close, the dads left carrying a silent promise in their hearts for their little ones.

Dads were given a thoughtfully created Dad–Child bingo, encouraging them to slow down, connect, and create moments that last forever, because memories are what children remember us for.
They left with one shared intention in their hearts: to be more present, more connected, and to be remembered not just as fathers, but as the dads who were always there.
