SCFrankfurt1880wasfoundedin 1880,makingitoneoftheoldest rugbyclubsincontinentalEurope. Rugbywastheclub’soriginal sport,placingthegameatthecore ofFrankfurt’ssportingidentity.
In1894,theclubtouredEngland, adefiningmomentthatshapedits cultureandstyleofplay.During thisperiod,Frankfurtadoptedthe redandblackcoloursthatstill definetheclubtoday.
Earlysuccessfollowedwith Germanchampionshipsin1910, 1913,1922and1925,establishing Frankfurtasadominantforcein theearlygame.
