New Auditorium, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Sun 28 Sep 2.30pm Part of the Scottish Bass Trust Festival Weekend Today’s concert is dedicated to the memory of Jenny Sharp A founding member of the Scottish Bass Trust, Jenny’s idea was to provide something educational and fun for Scottish bass players, scheduling programmes with the help of two amateur and two professional bassists. Her drive and initiative, making contacts around the world and inviting highly skilled professionals in both classical and jazz disciplines, have enabled the Trust to continue presenting workshops, masterclasses and recitals, including this weekend’s Festival in collaboration with the RSNO. The Scottish Bass Trust would like to thank the RSNO, The Hope Scott Trust, The Orcome Trust, the Jennie S Gordon Memorial Foundation and Fairfield Hearing for their support.
