He said the tool is used to flip meat effectively and easily, and it’s a testament to a blacksmith’s skill for fine tapers, specific shapes and specific geometry. This includes the ability to taper a length in a thick piece into a rather thin piece and then create a very specific bend at the end where, if it’s too tight or too long, it won’t work effectively.
