Welcome to the March Newsletter from the SE region. It is a li?le short, but read on, as there will be another email later in the month.
The 2021/2022 AGM is planned for Sunday, 13th March, at 1030 online. This is going to be a low key affair as we only had the 2020/2021 AGM last September. Although there will be no outside speakers, this is an opportunity to hear about the plans for the SE and make your voice heard. We will be presenNng our thoughts, plans for 2022 and a plea: • Helping the RPS with their strategy of Photography for Everyone • How we plan to conNnue online workshops • We are desperately short of volunteers to help us carry on the work in the region • Finally, if you wish to bring anything up under AOB, please email me. Celia Henderson courses I wrote last month that we have been busy puSng together a significant number of new courses for all you Celia fans out there. Unfortunately we have not quite finalised the web site, but we do have a list of all the courses and their dates. You will be able to pick and choose a number of courses to suit your requirements in terms of level, Nming and genre. • All the courses start on a Tuesday and finish on a Thursday • All courses consist of 2 workshops which are 90 minutes duraNon each As soon as the web sites are available, there will a short email to give you the links. We are also intending to send the same informaNon to all previous a?endees of Celia’s courses outside the SE region. Following this shorNsh newsle?er is a summary of all the courses.
Joe Houghton Courses Our BiteSize courses have been so successful that Joe would like to provide a similar offering around Lightroom. We are therefore doing a pilot in March and hope to offer a number of courses, similar to Celia, across a range of Lightroom topics.

Click for access on RPS website (places) This course will be teaching practical aspects of night sky photography through lectures and demonstrations. John Fox will give an introduction to imaging the night sky and the Milky Way using a normal camera (any sort) and tripod.

As the last AGM was only last September this event is designed to give the members information on the future programme, strategy, our financial position and an appeal for volunteeers.

Click for access on RPS website (places) Using prepared examples and “Recipe Cards”, CH LRPS, a Flower photography fanatic and distance teaching specialist, has adapted her face to face workshops to work in a Zoom based distance teaching environment. Following 6 successful courses, this is the 7th series and the last part. We are re-thinking how we present Photoshop courses. Future courses will be shorter, but with the ability to pick and choose multiple courses depending your needs and ability.

The vast range of filters in Photoshop can be overwhelming, which ones to use, and why? These two mini workshops will demystify this amazing and creative set of tools to show you how they can be used to create wonderful textures from scratch, sharpen your images, be used in combination to apply image enhancements and creativity. The objective of these workshops is to show you how to use them with Smart Objects and best practices for their use.

No link available, this event is still being planned Joe is trialling this workshop as a precursor to launching a number of short sharp workshops on Lightroom. More news on future courses next month.
