Welcome to the February newsletter from the SE region.
• Astro Photography at Herstmonceux Observatory workshop We are presen ng our rst face to face workshop of the year at the famous Herstmonceux Observatory. This is a great opportunity to learn from John Fox and get the knowledge required to take images like John’s of the Milky Way. (Click here to access)
• Series 7 of Photoshop for the Creative Photographer has already started but if you feel your skills are su cient, then part 3 is now open to book. This is last series planned for now, but Celia has been busy planning for the future, (see below) (Click here to access)
• The 2021/2022 AGM is planned for Sunday, 13th March, at 1030 online. This is going to be a low key a air as we only had the 2020/2021 AGM last September. Although there will be no outside speakers, this is an opportunity to hear about the plans for the SE and make your voice heard. We will be presen ng our thoughts, plans for 2022 and a plea: - Helping the RPS with their strategy of Photography for Everyone - How we plan to con nue online workshops - We are desperately short of volunteers to help us carry on the work in the region Finally, if you wish to bring anything up under AOB, please email me.

The current way of sending this out is via a quite lengthy process involving the RPS. As a trial I am sending this out via Mailchimp, which automa cally emails everyone on a list. Every month the current membership of the RPS SE is sent to me via a password protected spreadsheet. This is the same list that would be used by RPS HQ in contac ng you. Q: What is the future for Celia Henderson’s Photoshop courses? A: The future looks rosy Although we are approaching the last parts of all the current courses, Celia has been looking at building on the success of the long and short courses we have seen so far. Her idea is to create shorter courses that are aimed at introductory, intermediate or an advanced level across a wide range of subjects. The idea is that you will be able to pick and choose your own combina on of courses to suit what level you’re and what subjects do you want to learn. This will be appearing in the next month, so watch this space and the website.

We are re-thinking how we present Photoshop courses and future courses will be single days, but with the ability too pick and choose multiple courses depending your needs and ability.
