Welcome to the December newsletter from the SE region. With only 1 month to Christmas as I write this, I have to say where has the Ime gone? Did you see the programme “My Best Shot” on Channel 5 featuring Valda Bailey? I love her work, and have my own Valda Bailey inspired images. She is right, there is no formula, just keep taking them. I have a long way to go!

Woodland Photography Workshop on
13/11/21, at Eartham Wood went really well despite the gremlins that caused the event to be undersold. I was the vicIm of the awful cold that is going around and couldn’t make it but the weather was kind and Paul Mitchell is great event leader. Next month I will put my favourite image on the newsleYer cover.

Next year is sIll looking mainly Zoom based, but we are starIng to arrange some face-toface courses. Venues and courses we are exploring include HasIngs Pirate day, Wisley Hothouse Macro and CreaIve, Bluebells in Kent, Birds of Prey, Street Portraiture and more. Click for access on RPS website (places) This is the latest in the series.Using prepared examples and “Recipe Cards”, Celia Henderson, LRPS, a Flower photography fanatic and distance teaching specialist, has adapted her face to face workshops to work in a Zoom based distance teaching environment. Following 6 successful courses, this is the 6th series of this course. Each course has 3 separate parts, comprising of 9 individual workshops. Each part builds on the previous. It is strongly recommended you start with part 1 and progress to part 2 and then 3.
