Thu 14 - Fri 15 May 7.30pm

Adapted by Nick Lane from the work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

“When you have one of the first brains of Europe up against you, and all the powers of darkness at his back, there are infinite possibilities” London, 1901. As the British Empire wages war in the name of a Queen whose health is failing, a series of mysterious events reveals a crack in the high corridors of power. A crack that threatens to destabilise monarchy, government and Empire. And at its centre, controlling the flow of information and influence, a shadowy figure plans a final deadly move.

Drawn into the game and unsure who to trust, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson find themselves confronting figures from their past in a desperate race against time, aware that the most powerful person in the world could be in the pocket of one of the most corrupt. But just how much is Holmes willing to sacrifice as he faces ‘checkmate’?

A thrilling adventure based on the work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes: The Hunt for Moriarty is a world premiere combining powerful performances, a haunting soundscape and innovative design for an exhilarating theatrical experience.

Education

Here at The Core at Corby Cube, we strongly believe in the value of arts engagement and the positive impact it has on children and young people.

As well as developing their academic abilities, engagement in creative activities can also support the development of problem solving skills, encourage team building, enhance physical and emotional wellbeing, build confidence and strengthen learning across the curriculum at every stage of education.

We are proud to offer a comprehensive programme of educational workshops and opportunities for students, staff and home educated families. We look forward to working alongside you in introducing the next generation to the benefits the arts can bring. We work with Primary, Secondary and SEND schools, colleges and Universities.

We can create a bespoke workshop package for schools or you can join our partnership programme at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We also offer ticket price reductions on group bookings.

Royal Shakespeare Company

Our partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company provides the opportunity for teachers to attend three CPD sessions each academic year and for their students to be part of a Playmaking festival - a true celebration of Shakespeare’s words and stories and bringing young people together to work collaboratively.

Moving Together

Local dance company Moving Together work weekly with schools as part of the Northamptonshire Schools Collective to create movement for children of all ages and abilities. The culmination of this being bringing groups together for an annual celebration of dance created with children and young people and performed on the main stage at The Core at Corby Cube.

Groups And Schools

A range of great discounts and other benefits are available to Groups & Schools. To find out more about our group rates for bookings of 10+ and how we can make your visit as a group hassle free, please contact our Groups Advisors by emailing group.bookings@ thecorecorby.com

Transaction Fee

We charge a £2 per-transaction fee for telephone and website bookings of £15 and over. This does not apply in person or to Friends, Groups and Disabled Patrons. As ticket revenue is divided between many different parties, an increase in ticket prices may not necessarily benefit The Core. By adding a small transaction charge, we ensure that every penny of this goes to your local venue and the projects we run with local communities and young people.

Returns And Exchanges

We are unable to exchange or refund tickets after they are purchased, unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, or where there is a material change to the programme of the event.

Respecting Everyone In Our Spaces

We have introduced a new set of guidelines to encourage all of our visitors to be respectful and have the best possible time while attending our venues.

Be An Ally: Everyone deserves to feel valued and supported. Racism, homophobia, and other hateful behaviours have no place in our society, and will not be tolerated in our spaces.

Enjoy The Show: Be considerate of the performers and the people around you. We love to see you enjoy the shows, it’s why we do what we do. However, if behaviours become obstructive or create an unsafe environment, we will ask that they stop.

Forget Your Phone For A While: Switch to silent. Please do not take pictures or film during performances.

The Core at Corby Cube is a registered charity. Charity No. 1139035

All concessions are subject to availability and should be checked at time of booking. Proof of status will be required. Please note that not all concessions are available with online booking. All information is correct at time of printing but we reserve the right to make any alterations to the programme, performers, times and ticket prices. Every effort will be made to advertise changes in the local press and via www.thecorecorby.com. Retrospective discounts are not available, including discounts linked to our Friends scheme.

The Core at Corby Cube is an accessible venue. Lifts from the ground floor serve all levels of the auditorium. Spaces for wheelchairs are available with adjacent seats in the auditoria for companions or carers.

Parking for Blue Badge holders is available adjacent to The Corby Cube. Guide Dogs are welcome. There is an induction loop or wireless hard of hearing system for all performances. Wireless headsets are available by request via a steward or member of staff at the ticket desk.

If you have not done so yet, please register to our free Access Scheme. By taking a few minutes to tell us about your specific requirements, our staff and volunteers can ensure your tickets and seats fit your needs perfectly, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your visit.

Plan Access

From Wed 1 April 2026 The Core will join the Nimbus Access Card scheme. Our current Access Scheme will be honoured until Thu 1 April 2027. For the most up to date information about the scheme and the changeover, please visit www. thecorecorby.com/access

Find descriptions of our accessible performances at www.thecorecorby.com/access, plus a link to view a black and white version of our brochure.

Large print and audio versions of this brochure available on request, please email info@thecorecorby.com

Our commitment to making our Theatre and Lab space accessible for everyone is stronger than ever. We understand that our audiences and participants have wide ranging access requirements. If there is anything we can do to make your visit and experience a positive one, please don’t hesitate to talk to our Ticket Office when booking shows, or to our Get Involved team when enquiring about workshop activities.
