STEWARDSHIP

Mission Increase Gratitude Report 2025

“Working

Stewarding the Sacred Trust

“Every decision we make, every ministry we equip, every dollar we invest; these are sacred responsibilities.”

Over two decades at Mission Increase, I’ve learned that every resource entrusted to us carries a sacred weight. When donors invest in our mission, they’re not simply writing checks. They’re entrusting us with what God has given them: the fruit of their labor, their relationships, their influence, their time, and their very testimony. Mission Increase has been privileged to participate in the flow of generosity, whether donors give directly to ministry partners we’ve trained and equipped or invest resources in us. Regardless of how we’re involved, we carry a mandate. Like the servants in the parable of the talents, the Lord has given us resources to steward, and we will one day give account for how we managed them. This sobering reality drives everything we do. As we steward the resources God’s entrusted to us, our aim is to accelerate Kingdom impact in our local communities, across the nation, and around the world.

We at Mission Increase take this stewardship seriously through rigorous transparency and relentless focus on multiplication. Every donor deserves to know how their resources are used and what Kingdom impact those resources generate. That’s why we measure outcomes, communicate results, and continuously refine our approach to

maximize impact. When we invest in training ministry leaders, we’re multiplying donor dollars. Faithful stewardship of donor relationships enables greater Kingdom impact because trust, built through transparency and proven results, opens the door for deeper partnership. Excellence in how we manage resources, communicate outcomes, and care for those who’ve entrusted us with their gifts is not optional. It’s our biblical obligation.

As we reflect on this year’s theme of stewardship, I’m reminded of our dual accountability: to the donors who have entrusted us with their resources and to the God who ultimately owns it all. Every decision we make, every ministry we equip, every dollar we invest; these are sacred responsibilities. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” (Colossians 3:23). This perspective shapes how we steward what you’ve entrusted to us. Thank you for trusting us with this holy work.

As a donor to Mission Increase, not only do I experience a multiplication of my financial gifts, it’s a huge time multiplier as well. Helping local ministry leaders solve their often most pressing need (funding) through training from a Mission Increase Area Director is by far the most effective approach. This is a refreshing alternative to sitting in nonprofit board meetings, discussing funding shortfalls and options to explore.

Kevin Beckett, Mi National Board Member

“ “ What Our Donors Have to Say “

I appreciate the multiplicative effect of Mission Increase. I give one grant to MI and that helps strengthen dozens and dozens of ministries in our area.

Tyler Haar, Strategy Director, The Maclellan Foundation

Mission Increase is a vital resource for so many of our wonderful non-profits in our greater community. There is a great need for the resources, training and encouragement that Mission Increase brings. Healthy and growing ministries can only happen with others around them helping to further their mission. I am grateful to be able to support an organization like Mission Increase that has exponential impact in our community.

Sustainable Stewardship in Action

LIFEWISE ACADEMY

“One of my favorite things about Mission Increase is this mindset, this idea, that donors are not just donors, they’re owners of the ministry…This is a movement of God by the people of God.”

LifeWise Academy was founded in 2019 to provide public school students with Bible education during school hours. The initiative began when founder Joel Penton discovered a successful Released Time program in his hometown and looked to turn that concept into a scalable, plug-andplay model that schools nationwide could implement.

As LifeWise transitioned from a local to national mission, the need for sustainable stewardship led them to Mission Increase. Senior VP of Development, Derek Stemen, shared that a faithful supporter introduced LifeWise to Mission Increase, recognizing that a national expansion “was going to take quite a bit of resources.” LifeWise participated in Mission Increase workshops, coaching sessions, and

What began as a goal to serve 25 schools by 2025 has expanded to more than 1,100 schools across 34 states.

Student participation grew to nearly 100,000 projected for the 2025-26 school year.

consulting. Then, they used the strategies they learned to steward the growth they were seeing.

“One of the greatest things about Mission Increase is that you can go to a lot of different trainings and seminars on fundraising and get a lot of useful information… Mission Increase is very strategic in walking nonprofits through modules quarterly…you’re able to not only absorb the information you’re learning, but actually put it into practice with the teams you lead.”

Mission Increase helped Lifewise create a shift in how they view their partner and donor relationships. Stemen shares, “Donors are not just donors, they’re

owners of the ministry.” This mindset of shared ownership and stewardship allowed LifeWise to apply lessons in realtime, growing strategically rather than just rapidly. Stemen reflects that Mission Increase’s pace was essential, comparing other seminars to “drinking from a firehose,” whereas Mission Increase’s quarterly structure allowed them to actually put lessons into practice.

The outcomes have been transformative. Since partnering with Mission Increase, LifeWise’s fundraising grew from a few hundred thousand dollars annually to being on pace to raise $40 million this year. This success underscores a journey of faithful stewardship, transitioning from a local mission into a national movement.

THE CORNERSTONE INITIATIVE

Stewardship That Multiplies

“The Mission Increase team offered unparalleled honesty and truthfulness. They taught me that slow, deep, healthy foundational change is worth it. It’s a testament to the power of believing in the inherent worth of our cause.”
- DEBBI AKERS

FROM CRISIS TO CONFIDENCE WITH Mi SPECIALIZED

The Cornerstone Initiative, located in Huntsville, Alabama, is a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to bringing lasting change to low-income communities.

In 2016, Debbi Akers transitioned into leadership at Cornerstone as the previous director departed.

“I was left sitting in the role of Executive Director and had no idea what I was doing. I had a heart for the community we were serving, but it takes more than heart. It takes knowledge and know-how.”

- Debbi Akers, Executive Director

Facing an unsustainable board structure, zero monthly donors, and a monthly income of just $33.00, Debbi knew that for Cornerstone to survive and best fulfill its mission, the organization needed a foundational overhaul. She turned to Mission Increase to help navigate this transition.

THE JOURNEY TOGETHER

Mission Increase walked alongside Cornerstone to build the foundation they needed for faithful stewardship and sustainable Kingdom impact:

BOARD GOVERNANCE & SUCCESSION PLANNING

Through intentional coaching, Mission Increase helped Cornerstone establish healthy governance structures. By clarifying the relationship between the Executive Director and the board and implementing professional term limits, they ensured the ministry could maintain stability through future leadership transitions.

THE P-E-O SUPPORTER CHART

To grow a sustainable base of ministry partners, Mission Increase equipped Cornerstone with the PEO (Participation, Engagement, and Ownership) chart. This tool helps ministries visualize their community and move supporters from casual participants to “Champions” who are deeply invested in the mission. This empowered Cornerstone to identify their support gaps and confidently invite others into partnership.

MISSION CLARITY

Mission Increase helped Cornerstone refine their Case for Support, giving them the clarity to communicate who they serve, why they exist, and what they do. This compelling articulation of mission became the foundation that prevented mission drift and guided every decision.

BOARD OF INFLUENCERS

To safeguard the primary board while welcoming new voices, Mission Increase helped develop a Board of Influencers. This one-year advisory role allows potential leaders to serve and ensures they’re a cultural fit before joining the Board of Directors.

THE RESULTS OF FAITHFUL STEWARDSHIP

Mission Increase’s partnership with Cornerstone moved beyond simple financial sustainability to focus on holistic flourishing. With clarity of mission, Cornerstone developed new and impactful pathways including Jobs for Life, Faith in Finances, Soul Care Trauma Recovery, and Long-term Mentoring.

Stewarding for Maximum Kingdom Impact

Dear Mission Increase Family,

When we founded Mission Increase in 1999, we wanted to be good stewards by multiplying the impact of our giving. We also believed God was calling us to something that might last 10 to 15 years, perhaps generating $50 million annually in Kingdom capital. We had no idea, by His grace and provision, He would take us so far beyond what we imagined. As Scripture promises, God “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Over 26 years, through partners joining us in this journey and the faithful work of our committed staff, Mission Increase has reached over 10,000 ministries and helped generate more than $3.5 billion in Kingdom impact. The conviction that drove us was simple: combining excellent training with strategic funding would equip ministries to raise significantly more money and build sustainable, long-term capacity, far beyond what a gift alone could accomplish.

for exponential Kingdom return. Rather than creating dependency, the gifts from Mission Increase, paired with training, enable ministries to build sustainable capacity and flourish for generations. By equipping ministries to raise more money in a biblical way, God multiplies the impact far beyond what any single gift could accomplish. This is the parable of the talents lived out, faithful stewardship that produces increase upon increase.

We are driven by the charge that “To whom much is given, much is expected.” (Luke

12:48)

This approach required a different kind of stewardship, one driven by urgency and eternal perspective. Every dollar invested in training combined with strategic giving, every hour spent equipping leaders, every ministry learning to raise funds through a biblical lens, these became a catalyst

We are driven by the charge that “To whom much is given, much is expected” (Luke 12:48) and we carry the weight of this trust with reverence, knowing we will give account for what was entrusted to us. Our deepest gratitude belongs to the Lord, who has proven faithful beyond measure. Like the widow’s oil that sustained her household, God has taken what is offered and multiplied it to sustain thousands of ministries for His glory. We know the fields are ripe for harvest and we must work while it is still day with great urgency as the opportunity for Kingdom impact has never been greater. The best is yet to come, not because of what has been built to date, but because of the God we serve. Thank you for joining us in this sacred trust.

Dale and Gail Stockamp Founders, Mission Increase

The Power of One-to-Many Giving

When you give to Mission Increase, you’re not just supporting one organization. You’re equipping leaders who will develop donor champions who will reach hundreds or thousands of ministries.

That’s the power of one-to-many giving. Actively engaged leaders see their nonprofits grow by $100,000 or more within two years of joining Mi and putting our training into practice. And donors like you see an average 10:1 return on generosity, as every dollar you give helps ministries raise ten more.

As nonprofits expand their support base, the burden on you to be their sole lifeline fades away. Your generosity ignites a chain reaction of transformation across many ministries as they work together in their community.

Jacksonville isn’t just another city for me. It’s home. In my role as President of National Christian Foundation Jacksonville, I typically work on the giving side, helping generous people steward the resources God has entrusted to them for Kingdom purposes. Mission Increase also works on the giving side but equips ministry leaders to understand biblical fundraising and God’s provision through the generosity of His people. This partnership shouldn’t be unusual, I believe it’s God-ordained. For too long, Jacksonville’s ministries have been siloed, each doing their own thing without collaboration or shared learning. Meanwhile, givers are seeking God’s direction for where He wants them to invest.

What if we could bring these worlds together as God intended?

That’s why NCF invested in bringing Mi to Jacksonville. When we launched in January 2026 and saw 93 ministry leaders

representing 65 organizations gather around lunch tables, fellowshipping together and grouped by the causes they represent so they could relate and connect, I caught a glimpse of what God is doing. My vision is to create a Kingdom ecosystem where ministries aren’t isolated but connected, learning together, growing together in faith, and supporting one another as the body of Christ. When ministry leaders understand that God provides through the generosity of His people, and when NCF’s givers connect with Mission Increase-trained ministries who are collaborating and flourishing, God’s Kingdom impact accelerates exponentially. That’s what I’m praying for Jacksonville, specifically that God would use this initiative to transform not just individual ministries, but our entire city for His glory.

Church Engagement

What if churches could go further?
What if, beyond teaching about generosity, they could actually disciple people in their giving?

Most pastors address financial stewardship occasionally from the pulpit, finding ways to speak about giving without stirring up controversy or discomfort. But the conversation typically ends there. Congregants leave each week with only occasional prompts to reconsider what biblical generosity might look like in their lives.

What if churches could go further? What if, beyond teaching about generosity, they could actually disciple people in their giving? This vision sits at the heart of Mission Increase’s work. We believe that if we want to see radical generosity spark Kingdom transformation in our communities, we must equip the church, the most powerful force on the planet.

“I had never thought of fundraising as discipleship before,” said one pastor in Ohio after attending Mission Increase’s Major Gifts Workshop taught by Mission Increase Northwest Ohio Area Director Ashley Shaffer. “I realized how important my leadership is in helping people steward their financial resources well.”

In Northwest Ohio, Mission Increase is helping churches turn biblical generosity principles into actionable strategies that mobilize congregations toward transformational giving.

In this pastor’s case, Mission Increase worked alongside him and his board to develop a clear communication strategy for launching an endowment fund: one that would send kids to Christ-centered camps and the mission field. Ashley provided the practical “how” to complement the biblical “why” he had already laid out, equipping him with champion development strategies and systematic approaches to building a culture of generosity.

Three intersecting circles (churches, champions, and ministries) have always shaped our DNA. By equipping all three, and especially churches, we’re cultivating an ecosystem where biblical generosity multiplies, transforming lives and accelerating the work of the Kingdom.

Transformational Living

Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!

Your generosity is blessing organizations and ministries around the country and around the world. At Mission Increase, we are overflowing with gratitude as we have seen both the hand and blessing of God working in and through Mission Increase.

Jesus teaches us profound truths in the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25:14-30 where Jesus states, “He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more” (ESV).

Based on Jesus’ teaching in this parable, we place a high value on urgency, leverage, and stewardship at Mission Increase.

We value urgency because Jesus says “at once.” As an organization, our model of fundraising is rooted in the Bible and driven by our desire for people everywhere to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. “At once” speaks to our priorities and focus on what matters for eternity.

We value leverage because Jesus says the faithful steward “traded with them.”

Everything begins with building and

maintaining relationships so that people everywhere might know Christ within communities both locally and globally. “Traded with them” speaks to our relationships with Champions in working together creating greater opportunities to advance the Kingdom of God.

We value stewardship because Jesus highlights how the faithful steward “made five talents more.” A steward acts with both integrity and industry so that people everywhere can know Jesus and desire to follow Him. “Five talents more” speaks to the kingdom assignment God has entrusted to us at Mission Increase on behalf of Jesus and the Kingdom of God.

We steward all things with great care, including our time, our talents, our testimony, and our treasures. Together, along with donors, ministries, and churches, Mission Increase is giving glory to God for 2025. Even more, we are looking ahead in 2026 with a mindset of abundance, believing God to do more than we could imagine to advance His Kingdom.

Our Faithful Stewards

Mission Increase started in 1999 when Dale and Gail Stockamp and Ron Post answered God’s call to help ministries grow. By then, Dale and Gail had been supporting Christian ministries financially for years, including the disaster relief organization Ron had founded and led. They could see that what ministries needed most wasn’t short-term donations. What they really needed was biblically based fundraising and leadership training so they could thrive longterm and transform more lives for Jesus.

The vision came together one morning when Dale read about a local foundation giving away $23 million to charities. He told Gail he wanted to make an even greater Kingdom impact when they eventually sold their company. That “one day” came sooner than expected when Dale met Ron for breakfast. Ron shared his calling to consult, train, and equip ministry leaders to raise funds more effectively and reach people for Christ. As Ron shared his vision, Dale realized the time was now. Together, with prayer and faith, the Stockamps and Ron founded Mission Increase.

Today, that founding vision lives on through our team of faithful stewards. Each member of our team has answered the same call Dale, Gail, and Ron heard in 1999: to equip ministry leaders, build cultures of generosity, and transform lives for Jesus. Together, we’re honored to steward the mission God entrusted to us over 25 years ago.

2026: Multiplying Impact

In the coming year, Mission Increase is seeking to multiply our impact in ways previously impossible, making our champion development approach more accessible and helping more nonprofit leaders, donors, and churches transform more lives for Jesus in every corner of the Kingdom.

Partnering with Wycliffe Bible Translators USA

In 2026, Mission Increase is announcing a dynamic new partnership with Wycliffe Bible Translators USA. Wycliffe serves with the global body of Christ to advance Bible translation so people can encounter God through His Word. As we join forces with Wycliffe through the end of 2027, Mission Increase will provide our biblically-based curriculum to train global leaders in Francophone and Anglophone Africa, South Asia, the Greater Pacific and the Americas on vital topics such as fundraising, leadership and communications. With a keen understanding of what it takes to build sustainable mission impact, Mission Increase will ensure Wycliffe’s global leaders continue to advance Bible translation projects alongside language communities worldwide.

Expanding Our Online Training

Mission Increase is exploring new ways to expand our reach through enhanced online training capabilities. In the coming years, we’re working to equip tens of thousands more ministry leaders across the country and around the world with the same transformational principles that have helped so many organizations build thriving cultures of generosity. Whether it’s a small nonprofit in a rural community, a large organization without a local Mi Area Director, or leaders who simply want to grow in biblical generosity principles, we’re developing ways for ministry leaders everywhere to engage with our proven framework beyond their local community. Stay tuned as we continue building toward this exciting expansion.

Investing in AI to Extend Our Reach

As part of our use of technology to advance our mission, we are investing in artificial intelligence to enhance our ability to equip leaders with Mi’s proven principles, biblical framework, and personalized coaching at any hour. Our goal is to use AI as a force multiplier, extending our reach and impact while maintaining the relational, ministry-centered approach that defines our work. Technology will never replace the essential human connection in champion development, but it can help us serve more leaders with timely wisdom and practical next steps.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

By 2030, God Willing, We Aim To

Serve many more nonprofit ministries and churches across the United States and globally, while expanding our reach in more communities

Generate $1 Billion annually in new Kingdom capital with the nonprofit ministries we serve ($800M alone in 2024 and $3.5B+ since 1999)

Implement new and expanding services to reach more nonprofit ministries, churches and donors more efficiently and effectively 1 2 3

So that ...

We bring thousands of churches and Christian nonprofit ministries together - unified and serving their communities in healthy partnership, so that more lives are transformed for Jesus.

“As a nonprofit leader having Mission Increase means I’m able to equip staff with the tools needed for them to excel in their work. We could not begin to afford this training and coaching... It makes it possible for us to build the best nonprofit to fulfill God’s kingdom calling. Being in community with other leaders just increases the value of this resource. ”
