Welcome to the first edition of the 2026 Newsletter where the aim is to share some stories, highlight opportunities to get involved, and keep our clubs connected with what is happening across the district
To the many clubs i have visited over the past month, thank you for your hospitality Without exception i have come away feeling inspired by the work you do in your communities
Across District 9930, Rotarians are making a difference every day supporting communities, developing young leaders, and building connections that create lasting change
This year I have challenged all clubs to Be BOLD, Be CONNECTED and Be VISIBLE
Be BOLD - Growth comes from trying something different This year challenge your club to do one thing you haven’t done before One new idea, one new approach one new way of engaging
Be CONNECTED - Work with others in your community Lets move from what can we do to what can we do together Because the greatest impact often comes from collaboration
Be VISIBLE - If your community doesn’t know you exist, your impact is limited Visibility isn’t about self promotion, its about connection Its about making it easy for people to find you, understand you and join you

The focus this container is on Education Resources - primarily hard (physical) assets such as desks, chairs, white boards, etc

Enhancing Participant Engagement (DEI)
At Rotary, we believe everyone should feel welcome, respected, and connected We’re building a culture where people from all backgrounds can grow, lead, and thrive together
This is a new role for our Rotary District, and one that I feel very strongly about I look forward to working alongside clubs to explore new ways to make Rotary more attractive and welcoming to prospective members.
Every Rotary club has its own unique culture, and that is something to be celebrated At the same time, it is important that our clubs evolve to meet the needs of their members, rather than expecting members to fit the club.
We often talk about diversity, but I believe our focus should be on inclusion That means creating an environment where people from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds, women, younger members, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community all feel genuinely welcomed, valued and able to contribute
Inclusion is about more than extending an invitation it is about creating a culture where everyone feels they belong and where they choose to stay.

Explore a series of free online courses designed to help members build respectful relationships and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive Rotary environment.
