Lough Funshinagh: Residents now ‘living in fear’ Local politicians have pleaded with the Government to act to address the ever-worsening crisis at Lough Funshinagh, where several days’ constant rain has further endangered local livelihoods. Independent councillor Laurence Fallon has called on the Taoiseach, Tánaiste and leader of the Green Party to all visit the area as he says the ongoing emergency situation has now reached crisis point.
