RosevilleAreaSchoolsparticipatesinanenergysavingprogramwithXcelEnergy.Attimesduringthe summer,wemayreceivenotificationthatweneedtodropenergyuseateachbuilding.Cuttingenergy usagemeansshuttingoffairconditioning,lights,computers,andotherpowersourcesfortherestofthe day Wetryandmakethesedaysextrafunthroughalternativeprogramming;thankyouforunderstanding thatsomeprogrammingmaychangeatthelastminute.Ifyourchildhasspecialneedsthatma affectedbytheseshutdowns,pleaseinformtheSiteCoordinator.

ExploreTimeisachoice-based,intentionallearningblockbuiltintosummerprogrammingtwiceperday DuringExploreTime,studentsselectfromfacilitatedlearningexperiencesdesignedtobuildskills,spark curiosity,andsupportacademicgrowthinawaythatfeelsengagingandflexible.
SomeExploretimeoptionsmaybe:
STEM(Science,Technology,EngineeringandMath)-Studentswillexploretheseconceptsthrougha varietyofageappropriategamesandactivities.Scienceactivitiesmayincludeprojectsthat introducechemistry,biology,ecology,physics,andastronomy.STEMactivitiesgivestudents opportunitiestosolveproblems,thinkcritically,andworkinsmallgroups.
