AŋpétuTéčaEducationCenterhas903solarpanelsonitsroof!Thesepanelshelpturnsunlightinto electricitythatpowersthebuildingeveryday.Solarpanelsworkbycapturingenergyfromthesun andconvertingitintousableelectricity,providingaclean,renewablesourceofpower.

Eachyear,thesolararrayproducesapproximately397,320kilowatts ofelectricity—enoughtoprovideabout33%ofthebuilding’stotal energyneeds.That’stheequivalentofpoweringroughly40averagesizedhomesforanentireyear.

Inadditiontogeneratingcleanenergy,thesolarpanelshelpreduce thebuilding’senvironmentalimpact.Theamountofcarbondioxide emissionsoffsetbythesystemeachyeariscomparabletowhat approximately7,500treeswouldabsorb.Byharnessingthepowerof thesun,AŋpétuTéčaEducationCenterishelpingcreateamore sustainablefuturewhilereducingenergycostsandsupporting environmentalstewardshipinourcommunity.
