Ready to refresh your gear or make some space in the garage? Join us for a fun, eco-friendly Sports Equipment Swap—a great way to give your gently used gear a second life and maybe find something new-to-you in return!

Whether you’re into soccer, basketball, tennis, or anything in between, bring your clean, gently used sports equipment and trade it for something that suits your current interests. No donation is required to participate—just come ready to browse and swap!

What to bring:

• Clean, gently used gear (balls, bats, gloves, helmets, cleats, rackets, etc.)

• Items in good, usable condition

• Socks, undergarments, and worn swimsuits

• Broken, dirty, or heavily worn-out items

A bunny will be hopping into Rosemount with lots of eggs and candy for children to hunt for at this traditional Egg Hunt for kids ages 10 and under.

Children will be divided into age groups (1-3, 4-6 and 7-10) for hunting. Each age group will have lots of eggs and candy to hunt for and they will also have a chance to find the “golden” egg, which they can turn in for a special prize. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a basket or bag to hold your treats.

ROSEMOUNT SPRING COMMUNITY TENNIS NIGHT!

We invite all tennis enthusiasts to the Spring “Rosemount Community Tennis Night”! Join us at Erickson Park Tennis Courts for a fun evening of introductory tennis activities for kids led by the Boys’ Varsity tennis team. Then, stay for free food and the fast-paced fun of cheering the Rosemount High School Boys’ Tennis Team to victory against Hastings High School. Tennis equipment will be available but bring your own chairs.

ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION AND TREE GIVEAWAY

Join us as we observe the 35th Annual Rosemount Arbor Day. We will recognize the importance of Arbor Day with a brief program hosted by Mayor Weisensel.

We will also be giving away trees from 6 - 8 feet in height to residents of Rosemount. There will be a variety of tree species available. The trees for this year are Maple Sienna, Birch River Clump, Oak Regal Prince and Fireside Apple (Subject to change).

Shredding services will be available from 8am to noon (or until the truck is full) in the Central Park parking lot near City Hall. This event is exclusively for Rosemount residents, so please bring a driver’s license or other proof of residency. Note that household hazardous waste—such as paint, oil, and cleaners—will not be accepted. These items can be dropped off year-round at the Recycling Zone, located at 3365 Dodd Road in Eagan.

Please be aware that long wait times (up to two hours) are possible due to high turnout.

STORYWALK AT ARTBLAST

A Storywalk is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book will be installed along the path around the pond at Central Park. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. This Storywalk is about ¾ of a mile and stroller friendly.

I Got the Rhythm by Connie Schofield-Morrison is a children’s picture book about a young girl who discovers music and rhythm in everyday sounds during a walk in the park with her mother, leading to an impromptu dance that others join. Illustrated by Frank Morrison, the book is praised for its vibrant, energetic text and illustrations that celebrate self-expression, diversity, and the music found all around us, making it ideal for interactive story times.

Start Right is an amazing way to start your children in sports and develop their confidence and boost self-esteem. This program is all about having fun while playing games and exploring our movement, balance and coordination. We will also work on following directions, taking turns and being part of a team!

Developmentally appropriate motor development is the first step in ensuring a successful sports program for young children. Physical play for 3-year-olds is all about movement. Start Right will introduce kids to many developmentally appropriate, gross movement patterns and games that will emphasize fun and help them be successful at a multitude of sport skills. Start your kiddo on the right path to sports success!

All equipment will be provided by the Parks and Recreation Department. Please bring a water bottle each day.

MORNING T-BALL (AGES 4-5)

This basic instructional T-Ball program is for boys and girls who are or will be 4 or 5 years old by June 10 and/or entering kindergarten in the fall of 2026. Children will learn various skills such as throwing and catching a ball, batting techniques, base running, fielding, and other fundamentals of the game. Children will learn such skills through instructional drills and exercises. The main emphasis is on FUN instruction in a non-competitive atmosphere. No games are played until the final day of class when a fun game is played against another T-ball team. Participants must be appropriate age by the first day of class. Please bring a glove and water bottle to each lesson. Pre-registration is required.

Children must be 4 years old by the first day of the program and must be able to use the restroom independently. This program meets rain or shine. Remember to bring a water bottle each day. PUPPETS IN THE PARKS

Come join the Rosemount Puppet Wagon as our puppeteers bring laughter and fun into your summer days in the parks. Gather your friends and family and enjoy the entertaining and educational puppet shows all summer long. KIDS CORNER - FREE PARK PROGRAM

AGES 6-12 – Children must have completed kindergarten to participate

The Kids Corner Park Program keeps kids busy with constructive activities that focus on games, fitness, nature, friendships and fun. This program promotes positive social interaction with other children by encouraging participation and respect. Bring your own water bottle to the program each day and apply sunscreen. Pre-registration is not required; however, a legal parent/guardian must complete emergency contact information for each child to participate. Register online or accompany children to their first session of Kids Corner to fill out the emergency contact card at the park. Children will not be allowed to participate until this card is on file.

INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION

In the event of inclement weather, Kids Corner sites without a shelter building will be cancelled. Inclement weather includes both rain and severe heat. If severe weather occurs during Kids Corner, the children allowed to walk home will do so; otherwise parents will be called to pick up their children. SAFETY CAMP

SAFETY CAMP (AGES 7-11)

On behalf of the Rosemount Police, Fire, and Parks and Recreation Departments, we invite area youth to explore and learn about the many different safety issues kids encounter on a daily basis. This day-long special event includes sessions on internet safety, electrical safety, fire safety, 1st aid/ emergency room/911 procedures, public health and bicycle safety. The Jr. SWAT Academy will be back where kids have a chance to see and try on gear and tour the Dakota County MAAG Teams BearCat Vehicle. Safety Camp will end with a presentation by Science Heroes. Children should bring their bike and a helmet with them if they wish to participate in the bike safety course.

Join us for one, two, three or four weeks of swimming around the Twin Cities at this year’s Water Park Camp! This exciting camp will have kids enjoying a morning of games and activities at the Rosemount Community Center followed by a trip to a new water park each day. We will be visiting Splash Valley, the Edina Aquatic Center, Eagan’s Cascade Bay and Bunker Beach Waterpark. Admissions, transportation, supervision and all activities are included in the fee. KIDS FAVORITE FIELD TRIPS CAMP

KIDS FAVORITE FIELD TRIPS CAMP (AGES 8-12)

We have tabulated our survey and listened to the kids who participated last summer and are excited to offer a camp that heads to all your favorite field trip sites in one week (Monday-Thursday)! This exciting camp will have kids enjoying a morning of games and activities at the Rosemount Community Center followed by a new field trip each day. On day one we will head to Skateville for roller skating and fun! The next day, we will be going to Nickelodeon Universe with an unlimited wristband. On Wednesday, we will visit Urban Air Adventure Park for Adventure Slides, Trampolines, Warrior Course and much more! Finally, we head to Grand Slam Thursday for unlimited Play Zone, X-treme Trampoline, mini golf, Krazy Kars, batting cages, laser tag and a hot dog lunch. Admissions, bus transportation, supervision and all activities are included in the fee. Please bring a bag lunch each day. Participants can bring extra spending money if they wish to purchase snacks at concession stands. A camp schedule will be e-mailed to you prior to the start date with more details so you can properly prepare for camp each day. Don’t miss out on this experience!

YOUTH ACTIVITIES

PEDAL POWER KIDS BIKE CAMP

Participants will build bike endurance, skills and confidence through group rides and explorations of parks and trails. We will begin by reviewing bike safety and rules followed by adventure and destination rides throughout Rosemount. Mileage and daily rides will vary, but we will include visits to parks and fun places.

Participants should have a multi-speed bike and some experience going longer distances. Participants should bring their bike, a bike helmet and a water bottle (preferably a water bottle that sits in a cage attached to the bicycle).

NERF WARS TRAINING AND TOURNAMENT

Teamwork, speed and strategy will be needed to defeat your opponent in the Nerf Wars Arena! Teams of 4 will battle for the Nerf War Champions award while playing in a fun, safe and supervised way.

Teams will start by building their forts and strategizing, followed by playing many different games such as capture the flag, zombie tag, last person standing, freeze tag, plus many more! 3RD LAIR SKATEBOARD CAMP

The 3rd Lair skateboard camp program has been a part of MN skateboarding development for over 20 years. They are the originals, offering the most experience, the most well-trained instructors, and a proven reputation for success. Through small group instruction and fun activities each participant will become more comfortable on their boards. Instructors will also work with the campers to help set personal goals they will work to attain each day of their camp. Instruction is based on ability level, and they will cater to individual needs. All skill levels are welcome.

Don’t miss out on the best instruction at the best skatepark in the area. Rosemount’s skatepark includes two main areas. Upon entering the park, you have quarter pipe hips on both sides, and a large vert wall that blends into a multi-level fun box. Then one side of the street zone there is a ledge, flat bar, and manual pad, while the opposite side has a fun box with a rail and hubba ledge. Designed for constant flow the street sections are connected with elements such as a spine, banked wall ride and a flip bank. The second area of the park is a raised clover bowl, this unique three-pocket bowl has three levels; 4’ shallow end, 6’ mind pocket and a 7’ deep end.

USTA NET GENERATION YOUTH TENNIS PROGRAM

Net Generation encourages kids to challenge themselves. It helps shape the game to individual players, so they can learn at their own speed. Even more importantly, it uses tennis as a pathway to personal development off the court. And for everyone involved, Net Generation creates a strong sense of community for life. The curriculum was developed by the USTA, the game’s governing body, with tools and lessons designed to challenge kids in a fun and social way.

Participants should provide their own youth tennis racquet; however, if you are unable to obtain a tennis racquet for the lessons, the Parks and Recreation Department has a number of age appropriate racquets that may be used for lessons. Call 651-322-6000 to reserve your racket.

Fridays are designated as the make-up date for classes that may be cancelled during the week due to inclement weather. For weather related cancellations call the pre-recorded information line at 651-322-6020 and select option #1.

LEARN TO SKATE

The Rosemount Learn to Skate program offers a basic skills program. This program offers a skill progression designed to enhance the capabilities of all skaters. Please look carefully at the class descriptions. It is not uncommon for a student to repeat a level before mastering all the skills at that level. All classes are held on Monday evenings at the Rosemount Ice Arena, 13885 South Robert Trail. Questions should be directed to Rosemount Parks & Recreation at 651-322-6000.

SPECIAL NOTES

• Skaters and/or parents must have ice skates to participate. No roller blades or other type of skate.

• Protective headgear is required in all classes. Bike helmets or lightweight hockey helmets are acceptable.

• Only skaters enrolled in the Learn to Skate program may be on the ice.

• Name Tags: All skaters should pick up their name tags as they enter the arena. Class time, class level and class color are on the tag. Skaters should skate to the corresponding color on the glass at their lesson time.

• Class Attire: Skaters should wear warm, comfortable clothing. Dress in layers so jackets and sweaters can be removed as the skaters warm up. Mittens or gloves are a must. No tight jeans as they restrict movement.

• Rental skates are not available. Please make sure your skate blades are sharp and your boots fit properly. No double-blade skates are allowed.

P.A.L.S. - PARENT AND LITTLE SKATER:

This class is designed for parents and new skaters to learn basic skills together. Some of the skills included are forward marching, twofoot glides, dips, and starting backward wiggles.

3’S/4’S CLASS:

This class is designed for 3 and 4 year olds who have no to little experience with ice skating. They will learn basic skills such as forward marching, two-foot glides, dips, and starting backward wiggles.

• 3’s/4’s Beginner class: This class is for 3 and 4 year olds who have very little to no ice skating experience.

• 3’s/4’s Advanced class: This class is for 3 and 4 year olds who have some to minimal ice skating experience. They should know how to do the following skills: standing up on the ice, forward marching and some backwards skating.

SNOW PLOW SAM (4-7 YEARS OLD): There are four levels in this curriculum. Once all 4 levels are passed students will advance to Basic 3. This curriculum is designed to develop the preliminary coordination and strength necessary to move on skates.

• Snow Plow Sam 1: This class is designed for kids 4-7 years old who have no to minimal ice skating experience. They will learn the following basic skills: forward marching, glides, dips, and start backwards wiggles.

• Snow Plow Sam 2: This class is designed for kids 4-7 years old who have passed Snow Plow Sam 1. They will continue to practice skills learned in SPS 1 as well as learning new skills such as: backward wiggles, swizzles and beginning snow plow stop.

• Snow Plow Sam 3: This class is designed for kids 4-7 years old who have passed Snow Plow Sam 1 and 2. Skaters will continue practicing skills from the previous levels as well as learn new skills such as: one foot glides, forward and backward swizzles, etc.

• Snow Plow Sam 4: This class is designed for kids 4-7 years old who have passed Snow Plow Sam 1, 2, and 3. Skaters will continue practicing previously learned skills as well as new skills such as: backward two foot glide, backward swizzles, rocking horse, etc.

LEARN TO SKATE

THE BASIC SIX (7 AND UP):

These six levels introduce the fundamentals of skating moves which include forward and backward skating, stops, crossovers and turns. Upon completion of the Basic Six, skaters will have the knowledge to advance to the Free Skate Levels.

• Basic 1: This class is designed for skaters ages 4 and up with little or no skating experience Skaters will learn the following basic skills: forward/backward skating, swizzles, stopping, etc.

• Basic 2-3: These classes are designed for skaters who have passed Basic 1 and/or Snow Plow Sam level 4. Skaters will be evaluated the first night to determine appropriate basic skills level.

• Basic 2: Skaters will work on scooter pushes, one foot glides, moving stops, etc.

• Basic 3: Skaters will work on backward one foot glide, backward swizzles, forward slalom, etc.

• Basic 4-6: Designed for skaters who have passed Basic 3. Skaters will work on edges, crossovers, spins, stroking, etc.

• Basic 4: Skaters will practice previous skills as well as learn backward skating, turns, edges, etc.

• Basic 5: Skaters will work on crossovers, backward pumps, edges, spins, etc.

• Basic 6: Skaters will work on backward crossovers, edges, turns, spins, etc.

PRE-FREE SKATE AND FREE SKATE 1-4: Designed for figure skaters that have passed Basic 6

• Pre-Free Skate: Skaters will work on 3-turns, edges, crossovers, and beginning spins. They must have experience and have passed the Basic Skills levels before signing up for pre-free skate.

• Free Skate 1-4: Skaters will continue practicing previously learned skills in pre-free skate. They will learn how to do spins, backward 3-turns/edges, etc.

HOCKEY TRACK (4 years and older that have passed Snow Plow Sam Level 4 or Basic 2)

Designed for skaters who plan to play hockey or are currently playing hockey. Skaters will work on stronger forward and backward skating, stops, crossovers, edge work, etc. All elements will be taught without a stick or puck.

CONFIRMATION: Letters are not sent confirming your registration. Assume you are in the program you register for unless notified otherwise.

CANCELLATIONS: We reserve the right to cancel an activity if registrations are insufficient. Minimum/maximum requirements are set for each program. If an activity is cancelled, you will be notified as soon as possible and receive a full refund.

REFUND POLICY: Registration fees for programs cancelled by the Parks and Recreation Department or cancelled by the participant prior to the registration deadline will be fully refunded. There are no refunds for preregistered programs cancelled after the registration deadline.

FEE ASSISTANCE: Limited funds are available to Rosemount residents for financial assistance to participate in recreational programs. For information call 651- 322-6000.

YOUTH SHAMROCK SPRINT (AGES 8-UNDER)

Youth ages eight and under will have a chance to participate in an exciting Youth Fun Run. The participants will run one-quarter mile then turn around to finish the remaining one-quarter mile. This event is FREE. Every child participating will receive a souvenir prize! Pre-registration is not required –you can register the day of the event!

The Rosemount Community Center is located on Highway 3/South Robert Trail approximately one mile north of the intersection of Highway 3 and County Road 42, just north of Rosemount High School. WET N’ WILD DAY

Gather your neighborhood friends and head to Jaycee Park for a ton of wet n’ wild fun! There will be nothing dry about this day! You will enjoy many water activities/stations that are sure to leave you WET and feeling WILD. Participants need to wear their swimsuit or clothing that can get wet and must wear tennis shoes while participating. Also bring a towel and apply sunscreen before you arrive! Open to Rosemount residents only ages 6-12. Please note: We will have a fun water station set up just for kids 5 and under to be supervised by parents while their older kids participate.

FREE! Bring your fishing rods and bait and try to catch the largest bullhead in Schwarz Pond, located behind Rosemount High School. Register at the pond the day of the event - near the bridge - starting at 9am. Pre-fishing and warm-up are scheduled from 9–9:45am. The fishing contest will run from 10–11am. Awards for the largest fish will be given in each age group - winners will go away with great prizes!

Minnesota Pickleball Ladder Leagues

Minnesota Pickleball is offering state sanctioned ladder leagues in multiple parks throughout the state.

All state sanctioned ladder leagues are open to players of any age, skill, gender, and experience level. No partner is needed, no specific residency is required, and attendance is always optional.

Sanctioned ladder leagues will ‘ladder’ players at the beginning of each session based on their performance and players will play with others of the same or similar skill levels each night. All results are recorded in DUPR and the Minnesota Pickleball player database.

* Attendance in sanctioned leagues will accumulate points that can be used toward the Minnesota State Tournament.

South of the River Recreators (S.O.R.R.) is a collaboration between the cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Rosemount and Savage to offer adult leagues and other programming. Collaborative leagues allow us to increase offerings, decrease leagues being canceled due to low registration numbers, and allow teams to play opponents nearer their level of competition.

FRONT PORCH PLAYERS (FPP)

Rosemount’s Community Theater, the Front Porch Players, is for all ages. This group produces plays for all levels of actors, from melodramas to full length Broadway plays. Everyone is invited to audition for these performances. The FPP of Rosemount has produced many shows over the past years, including classics like Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express and Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit, murder mysteries, and comedies.

SECOND ACT PLAYERS (SAP)

RAAC has a senior theater group made up of adults that are 50 years of age or older. Some of the members have previous acting experience, and some have no acting experience at all. That doesn’t matter, because SAP welcomes all experience levels. SAP puts on two plays each year. There are many ways to participate. Just come and have fun! If you’re over 50, you automatically can be part of SAP when you join RAAC.

ART EXHIBITS

RAAC curates the Steeple Center and Robert Trail Library art galleries. Professional artists’ work is shown at the Steeple Center for 2-3 months each, while emerging and student artists’ work is shown monthly at the library. Admission is free during Steeple Center and library hours.

PHDs & UFOs– (Projects Half Done and Unfinished Objects)

Bring your unfinished handwork projects and spend the afternoon among fellow crafters. This is a free event held every Thursday from 12:30-3:30pm at the Steeple Ctr. No registration required.

PETERSON HOMESTEAD IN WACONIA

Our trip will start out in Waconia, where we will take a docent-led tour of the 160-acre Peterson Farmstead, owned and operated by the Carver County Historical Society. Andrew Peterson emigrated from Sweden and arrived in Minnesota in 1855, and his journal was used as the primary source for author Vilhelm Moberg’s Emigrants book series. The tour will provide insight into the lives of 19th century Swedish immigrants. *Note: there will be a fair amount of walking and standing and some uneven ground, so wear appropriate footwear. We will then visit the Carver County Historical Society, which includes five history galleries telling the story of the county’s heritage as well as a veterans’ exhibit. Enjoy lunch in the Club House at Island View Golf Course, which will include the soup and sandwich special with coffee, tea, soda and a small dessert. Before heading home, we will stop at Cathy Mackenthun’s Meats and Deli in St. Bonifacius to shop. For over four generations, they have provided customers with handmade smoked meats, sausages, jerky, apple wood smoked bacon and ham, brats, meat pies, braunschweiger and many other outstanding products.

GARDENS IN THE TWIN CITIES

Begin this tour at the Normandale Japanese Garden, where more than 300 plants, shrubs, and trees have been carefully selected to grow in Minnesota’s harsh climate. In addition to the wonderful plant life and intentional landscaping, you’ll see around 20 colorful koi that swim from lagoon to pool, under bridges and around rocks. The next stop will be the Lyndale Park Rose Garden in south Minneapolis. Planted in 1908, it is the second oldest public rose garden in the U.S. and was designed by Theodore Wirth while he was superintendent of the Minneapolis Parks system. There are over 3,000 roses of over 250 varieties on display, and during its peak season, the garden can contain about 60,000 blooms. Want to have a garage sale but don’t have a garage or enough items to fill one? Host yours at the Rosemount Area Seniors (RAS) Sale instead! Held on the first day of the City-Wide Garage Sale, this will give RAS members the opportunity to participate in an indoor sale at the Steeple Center. No need to worry about the weather! Get a space on your own or grab a friend or two to share one. Tables will be set up and torn down for you. Participants must:

Help kick off the summer with our first annual outdoor picnic at Whitetail Woods Regional Park! Our event will be at the Empire Lake Shelter, a large covered space that features plenty of picnic tables, shade, and indoor restrooms. The catered lunch will feature burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches with all the fixings, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and a bottle of water. After lunch, spend some time playing lawn games, exploring the beautiful trails and park amenities, or simply enjoying good conversation and company! A Healthcare Directive is a legal document that communicates your wishes regarding medical care when you are no longer able to. This workshop will include an informational session about Healthcare Directives with experts from medical, social work, and thanatology fields available to answer your questions. Following the information session there will be 1:1 support available to assist you with questions or roadblocks as you make decisions and fill out your Healthcare Directive. This support group for people with early-stage dementia and their caregivers provides information, resources and support directly to the person impacted. Alzheimer’s Association support groups, conducted by trained facilitators are a safe place for people with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on living well with dementia, learn about community resources, and talk through issues and concerns. All participants in the early-stage support group must go through a pre-screening process by calling the Alzheimer Association’s 24/7 Helpline at 1.800.272.3900. Membership: The Rosemount Area Seniors (RAS) is a social group that hosts a variety of card games and other activities and events at the Steeple Center along with the Parks & Recreation Department. While membership is not required to participate in these or any other activities at the Steeple Center, there are some benefits to becoming a member. A $10/person annual fee that covers a calendar year gets you a discount on the monthly catered luncheons and mystery trips typically hosted twice per year, and you will get a copy of the News from the Steeple Center monthly newsletter mailed directly to your home. RAS Membership Forms are available at the Steeple Center or can be found online on the Parks and Recreation website.

PARK RESERVATIONS (SHELTER RENTALS)

We have great sites for picnics and parties!

Do you need a site for a family picnic or birthday party? Open and enclosed park shelters in the City of Rosemount can be reserved for a nominal fee. Open shelters can be reserved by residents for $53 plus tax per day ($70 plus tax for nonresidents). Enclosed shelters are $84 plus tax per day for residents ($137 plus tax for nonresidents). To reserve your spot, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 651-322-6011.

Highlights of Park Rules

• No glass containers are permitted in the parks.

• Consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed with a special permit in parks with shelters only.

• Motorized vehicles are prohibited in the parks outside of the parking lot areas.

• Dogs or other animals must be on a leash no longer than six feet.

• All persons in control of an animal on park property shall always have in their possession, an apparatus which can be used for cleaning up feces and/or a bag for proper disposal of feces. The person in control of the animal is responsible for picking up his/her animal’s feces and proper disposal.

• Charcoal fires permitted in barbecue grills only. No wood fires are allowed.

• Golfing is not allowed in any of the Rosemount City parks.

• City parks are tobacco-free when youth activities are taking place.

PARK FACILITIES AND AMENITIES

Brockway Disc Golf Course

The Brockway Park disc golf course is located on the site of the old Brockway Golf Course at the corner of Highway 3 and Connemara Trail. The nine-hole disc course features rolling hills and mature oak trees. The course plays 2,915 feet from the back tees and 1,875 feet from the forward tees. Parking is provided on the north side of the course along Bronze Parkway.

Skate Park

The Rosemount Skate Park is located just north of the Rosemount Community Center in Schwarz Pond Park at 13787 Dodd Blvd. The most convenient access to the skate park is south on Dodd Blvd from Connemara Trail. This facility is intended for use by skateboarders, in-line skaters and BMX bikers of all abilities. The hours of operation are 6am to 10pm. Users of the skate park are strongly encouraged to wear helmets, kneepads and other protective gear while enjoying the facilities. There is no charge for use of the skate park.

Amphitheater

Planning a special event or party for your family or business? Rent the amphitheater at Central Park and add entertainment for an event to remember. The tiered seating can accommodate up to 2000 people. Call 651-322-6011 for more information.

Splash Pad

The Splash Pad is located at Central Park at 2875 145th Street West. You will find it is a great way to cool off in the summer’s heat! There is no charge to visit the splash pad and it offers a variety of age appropriate water spray features that will keep kids of all ages smiling while staying cool. There is plenty of shade near the pad under the sun shelter and indoor restrooms are available at the Central Park shelter.

Pickleball Courts

Grab a paddle and check out Rosemount’s 12 brand new pickleball courts! Located just south of the UMORE Ballfields at 15150 Akron Ave, the courts are open to players of all ages and skill levels. Amenities include lights for evening play, a sun shelter and picnic tables to relax between games. Open 6am to 10pm.

Tennis Courts

Tennis courts can be found in Erickson Park at 14115 Brazil Avenue. The City of Rosemount built 4 new courts with the help of a grant from the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The courts are equipped with lights for nighttime play. Courts can also be found at Bloomfield, Charlies and Claret parks.

GaGa Pits

GaGa Pits are located at Camfield and Greystone Parks. Gaga ball is a game somewhat like dodgeball but played with a foam ball, and in an octagonal court or gaga pit. The game combines dodging, striking, running, and jumping, with the object of being the last person standing. Players hit the ball at each other with their hands and are eliminated if the ball strikes them on or below the knee. The game can be played by a group of individual players or with teams, as well as in one-on-one matches. Give it a try this summer!

Zip Lines

Zip lines can be found at Ailesbury and Schwarz Pond Parks.

Hammocks

Hammock Use in City Parks – Hammocks are okay to use in City parks and the City actually encourages people to find a spot to hang out. Often our City parks have mature trees that can be used to attach your “mock” to or you can also use the poles of a small sun shelter or playground to tie up to. This summer the City will be looking at adding places to hang your hammock in parks.

NATURE BASED PLAY

Schwarz Pond

Natural playgrounds help children to develop other beneficial behaviors in addition to physical skills. These behaviors include social skills, cooperation, and the ability to solve problems. In addition, natural playgrounds stimulate a child’s imagination and creativity.

This space is a must-see when searching for your next events’ location! Seated capacity is 300.

AUDITORIUM: This theatre-style seating venue provides excellent acoustics for seminars, conferences, recitals, ceremonies, and concerts. Room includes stage with curtain, audio/visual system, overhead projector and retractable screen. Seats 292. Stop by and check out this great space!

MEETING ROOMS: There are two meeting rooms. Each room seats 18. Hold your next meeting here!

GYM: A well-ventilated multi-use gymnasium with a maximum capacity of 500. A great space for additional practice time, tournaments, trade shows or kid’s birthday parties!

Come check out the Steeple Center! The facility is open Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30am-3:30pm and Fridays from 8:30am12pm, with evenings and weekends dependent on scheduled events and activities. The facility features a lobby area with a beautiful fireplace, gorgeous floor-toceiling windows and café-style seating, which is open to the general public. It is a great place to stop in for a cup of coffee, play a card or board game with a friend, or meet new people! The Steeple Center is home to the Rosemount Area Seniors and all senior programming (see pages 39-51 for more information), as well as many programs and events hosted by the Rosemount Area Arts Council (see page 37 for more information).

In addition, the Steeple Center is an ideal facility for your next meeting, event, fundraiser, party, wedding ceremony or reception. Assembly Hall seats 192 with tables and chairs or 204 in theatre-style rows. The new addition features a full catering kitchen, conference room, and three large multi-purpose rooms perfect for programs, meetings, seminars, and small events. This beautifully updated space offers a variety of options, making it the perfect rental option for any celebration or gathering.
