Since our school’s inception, more than 165,000 superintendents, district level administrators, and teachers from around the world have participated in the RCA Experience to learn better ways to engage students, promote academic rigor, and create a climate and culture that promotes success.

Inside our walls, academic excellence and student engagement are not competing priorities. They are inseparable. What began as an internal program has now been replicated in schools across the globe, impacting countless students far beyond RCA.
Through our immersive professional development experiences such as RCA EXP, House Mania, and the House System Leadership Academy, the spirit of RCA continues to travel worldwide as a national impact system. More than 165,000 educators and counting have joined us in reimagining what school culture, leadership, and academic rigor can look like while simultaneously building a community of rapport and support. Visiting educators return to their schools empowered to raise expectations, strengthen instruction, and build environments where students thrive.

MATH CHAIR INDUCTED INTO NATIONAL TEACHERS HALL OF FAME
Dr. Valerie Camille Jones Ford was named one of five educators nationwide inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame, marking a historic milestone for Georgia and reflecting the impact of excellence in teaching. She was highlighted on CBS news with Gayle King.

SCALING STUDENT ENGAGEMENT THROUGH TECHNOLOGY
With support from the Truist Charitable Fund a $2M investment strengthened and expanded the RCA House Points App, enabling more schools to access the platform and scale student engagement, recognition, and family connection.
INVESTING IN STUDENT EXPERIENCE THROUGH CAMPUS EXPANSION
Students celebrated a ribbon cutting for a new RCA athletic field, creating opportunities for physical wellness, teamwork, and school pride. This was made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
STUDENTS BUILD INNOVATION AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS THROUGH HACKATHON
RCA hosted more than 100 students for a coding hackathon sponsored by Nike, where students and their peers built tech solutions to real community challenges while strengthening skills in ideation, app development, and teamwork.
HOUSE SYSTEM EXPANDS ACCESS THROUGH CHILDREN’S BOOK
A rhyming picture book The House Where We Belonged authored by Cofounder Kim Bearden helped students learn the RCA House System, making its core values more accessible to schools while generating proceeds to support the Ron Clark Academy.
STUDENTS GAIN CAREER INSIGHT FROM MARVEL STAR
Students engaged in a fireside chat with Marvel star Dominique Thorne, gaining insight into her career journey while building confidence in their own aspirations and experiencing a powerful moment of representation and inspiration.
STRENGTHENING WRAPAROUND SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS
A new partnership was launched with ProFresh Barber Academy to provide free haircuts for students, expanding wraparound support services that boosted confidence, removed barriers, and supported readiness for school.

RCA expands learning far beyond the classroom, empowering students to explore new cultures, engage with diverse communities, and grow as compassionate global citizens prepared to make an impact in the world.
COSTA RICA KENYA
Costa Rica’s wonders offered our 7th grade students hands-on learning, unforgettable memories, and a deeper connection to the world around them. From exciting adventures like white water rafting to exploring the country’s incredible biodiversity and culture, students embraced every moment with curiosity and courage. Pura Vida!
The Class of 2023 studied, prepared, and fundraised to donate supplies to local schools. They dove deep in to the heart of Kenyan culture, from sharing smiles in classrooms to immersing in the vibrant traditions of local tribes. It was hard to leave, and our students were forever changed.
LONDON
From London to Barcelona, RCA students took Europe by storm and soaked up all its history! The Class of 2025 enjoyed seeing Tower Green, London Dungeon, Trafalgar Square, Stonehenge and more It was exciting and educational!
JAPAN
Our 8th graders had an unforgettable experience in Wakayama and Tokyo, Japan from homestays with penpals and attending school to learning judo, calligraphy, and traditional cooking. Through meaningful cultural immersion, they were warmly embraced by the Japanese community and created memories that will last a lifetime.
SOUTH AFRICA
We visited Lesedi Cultural Village to explore the traditions of the Zulu, Sotho, Xhosa, Ndebele, and Pedi peoples, opening students’ hearts and minds to the power of history, education, and community.

RCA SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
1. What is your most memorable experience at RCA?
Traveling to South Africa was the most memorable experience of my entire life, and getting to experience it alongside some of my best friends in the world when I was in 8th grade was surreal. From experiencing the vast array of cultural differences and nuances to visiting classrooms where excellence and learning mattered despite the circumstances, the llessons, emotions, and maturity development I gained on that trip were unlike any other time in my life.
2. What has been the biggest surprise being a teacher at your alma mater?
The biggest surprise has been the effort, organization, and work that go into making the magic happen. RCA is a magical place, and as a student, I think I took so much of that magic for granted. The resilience, determination, and drive of my coworkers are continually inspiring. They raise the standards for me and elevate the school for my students.
3. What is your favorite moment of history to teach the kids and why?
Ooo, I love this question. Toward the end of my 5th grade curriculum, the era from World War II to the Civil Rights Movement is one of my favorites to teach. I love highlighting the contrast between the United States as a machine for freedom and justice in the larger world and its own struggle to respect different races at home. I love watching my students realize the duality of history and humanity all at once. Both can be true: a nation can be both heroic and flawed. To me, that is America at its core and in all its beauty.
4. What is an interesting fact we don’t know about you?
Honestly, I am a huge fan of going to the movie theater. For me, that is one of the few times I get to shut my mind off and exist in a different world without thinking, planning, or organizing. I just get to enjoy, to believe, and to experience, and I love that.
5. What advice would you give the most recent classes of RCA alumni?
Never let go of the lessons and the people here. Every interaction, every lesson, every experience, every Shake, every visitation; they are shaping you into something you might not even fathom yet. I promise you they are tools that will equip you to succeed in ways you may have never imagined. RCA is a creator of forces; don’t let the lessons here be lost. Adapt them, use them, and never stop soaring.

A LEGACY OF ACHIEVEMENT
The Ron Clark Academy celebrates another graduating class, achieving a remarkable 100% graduation from high school. The latest class of graduates join the rest of the RCA alumni who have been accepted to prestigious institutions such as Columbia University, Georgetown University, and Florida A&M University. As these graduates venture on new journeys, they carry resilience, integrity, and a passion for lifelong learning – all of which have been instilled in them through RCA. Their achievements not only inspire those within the RCA family, but also serve as inspiration for generations to come.
CLASS OF 2021 COLLEGE ACCEPTANCES
RCA ALUMNI GAP SCHOLARSHIP FUND
RCA is committed to supporting students beyond graduation through the Alumni Gap Scholarship Fund, which bridges urgent financial gaps so alumni can stay enrolled and on track to graduate. Support helps cover essential needs like tuition balances, exam registrations, books and supplies, room and board, and other verified education expenses that impact college persistence and success. Since 2020, thanks to the generosity of corporate, foundation and individual donors, 42 scholarships ranging from $100 to $3,500 have been awarded to alumni in need.
The RCA Gap Fund Scholarship has allowed me to pursue all of my goals in school while not worrying about how to make ends meet. They have provided me with the opportunity to just focus on school.”

THE AMAZING SHAKE
CONFIDENCE. CHARACTER. OPPORTUNITY. ONE HANDSHAKE AT A TIME.
The Amazing Shake is a signature Ron Clark Academy workforce readiness program that brings professional skills to life for our students in a powerful and unforgettable way. Through fast-paced, real-world challenges, students showcase confidence, communication, and character—from delivering a standout handshake to navigating high-pressure scenarios with poise. Along the way, they connect with business and community leaders, gaining exposure to new opportunities and career pathways.
Schools across the country and around the world now host their own Amazing Shake competitions, sending top students to the Global Amazing Shake, a three-day event featuring immersive, case-based stations that test etiquette, composure, and savoir faire.
