It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout of members at our AGM in September. All eight Management Committee positions are now filled, and I’m delighted to introduce our new committee: Chairperson: Robyn Neilson Vice Chairperson: Brad Gough Secretary: Belinda Black Treasurer: Suzi Silvester Committee Members: Barb Drew, Wendy Croker, John Holliday, Michelle Ambia This newly formed team has already shown itself to be committed, skilled, and hardworking. They’ve hit the ground running, diving straight into some exciting new initiatives for the RNC, and I’m very much looking forward to continuing our work together. During the AGM, we also launched our first ever Annual Report. This report highlights the achievements, growth, and impact of the Centre over the past 12 months. It will serve not only as an important update for our members, but also as a valuable resource for new partners, supporters, and

One of the highlights of the report was the presentation of our annual program and attendance numbers. One of our core activities is facilitating activities, programs and events that bring people together. This work sits at the heart of our purpose: creating opportunities for people to connect, engage, meet new faces, and reduce isolation. Every activity contributes to the health and wellbeing of our community. It has been incredibly exciting to see just how much we’ve grown over the past year. In only 12 months, participation at the centre has almost tripled — rising from 57 activities with a total attendance of 531 in Quarter 1 (July–September 2025) to 148 activities with a total attendance of 1,552 in Quarter 2 (April–June 2026). This remarkable growth reflects the dedication of our Neighbourhood Centre team and the generosity of our wonderful volunteers, who bring these programs to life week after week. Rollingstone and District Men’s Shed Inc. Community Activity What a great day at the Harvest Carnival! The Rollingstone and District Men’s Shed had a fantastic day on Saturday the 12th! A great turnout from the community, and it was awesome seeing all the kids having fun. We got involved in the scavenger hunt, with plenty of hammers and wrenches being named and one quickwitted young girl even named her older brother as a tool! A big thank you to the Carnival organisers, everyone who stopped by for a drink and sausage sanga, and especially everyone who donated towards our shed construction. Your support means a lot! Next sausage sanga stop: Saturday 10th October, Northshore Bunnings Raffles We held our raffle at Mystic Sands Sports & Wellness on Friday,18th September. Thank you again to everyone in the community who came down and supported us. We had three meat trays to be won: a beef tray, a chicken tray and a pork tray. Congratulations to all the winners! Shed Construction All the community support we receive through our

raffles and Bunnings sausage sizzles is helping us inch closer to getting our shed up and running. We are still seeking different grants to help with the construction of our shed. Every bit of support we receive brings us one step closer to making our Men’s Shed a reality. Membership We are open and looking for new members. Whether you have worked in an office, worked a trade, or have experience in any other field, all men are welcome. We are open to men from all walks of life, providing a place where we can share our experiences, knowledge and skills with each other. Men’s Sheds are all about supporting men’s mental health and wellbeing through friendship, mateship and projects that can make a positive difference in our community. Rollingstone and District Lions Club Inc. What a great day was had at the Rollingstone Harvest Carnival on Saturday 12th September, and wonderful to see so many locals out supporting this great event. A big shout-out to the Rollingstone Pineapple Festival Committee Inc who hosted this activity, with congratulations to all volunteers who helped organise, setup, worked on the day and packed-up on completion. Thank you all! Also thank you to our Lions members and volunteers who helped with our catering on the day through our Lions kitchen. A busy couple of days for us all. Rollingstone State School Market Day Madness at Rolly! Market Day was finally here, and the Year 5/6 students were ready to become business legends… or at least try to make a profit! We had spent weeks researching ideas, making budgets, creating stalls and producing advertising videos to convince everyone that our products were the ones to buy. There was plenty on offer, including buttered sweet popcorn, fresh juice, hot dogs and delicious desserts, all made by us. For those who weren’t hungry, there were carnival games like Lucky Spin, Guess the Colour, bracelets, squishies and even an Adopt a Rock stall. Who knew rocks could be so popular? Each sales team were out announcing special deals and trying to convince the younger students to spend just a little bit more. And it worked! There was plenty of excitement, noise and money changing hands. After cleaning up, we tackled the serious financial maths, working out our profit and loss, buybacks and whether we had actually made enough money to cover our materials. We also surveyed our younger customers to find out what they liked, what could be improved and whether they thought our products were good value for money. It was real-life learning for the 5/6 business owners, but our customers also learnt an important lesson about money. One little girl looked absolutely devastated as she announced, “Now all my money is gone!” A good financial lesson right there! It was a fantastic day, with a lively atmosphere and amazing support from the Rolly students, families and staff. A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make Market Day such a success! Persuasive writing from Class C Student had to prepare a PowerPoint presentation and present in front of the class with their writing. Why AI Should Be Banned at School and Home Read this if you don’t agree! If your kids are using AI, it’s time to put a stop to it. It hurts the environment, your kids aren’t learning, and AI gives you fake information. These are the reasons to make a stop. Millions of people use AI each day, which is causing the government to want to make more AI centres, also known as data centres. According to eesi.org, large data centres can consume up to 5 million gallons of water each day! This affects kids who are thirsty and animals that need water, and they are slowly running out of water to drink. Data centres need to use so much water to cool down all of the equipment. Since the government wants to make more centres, they need to cut down trees that animals such as koalas, birds and possums live in. AI gives people fake information because it goes to the web and gets information from different sources. The information could be from a couple of years earlier, or sometimes AI just guesses the answers to your Rollingstone Rag, October 2026

questions. Would you want your kids’ brains to slowly wear out? Kids that use AI are not learning because they are not using their brains to work out questions. AI is taking away creativity. Kids are not using their brains properly because they now know that AI can answer all their questions. Kids who are creative might ask ChatGPT, Bloom or AlphaGo, an AI program, to either do their work for them or ask AI what to do. After this text, I hope you get rid of ChatGPT and any AI pictures in your camera roll and help me get rid of the use of AI. Written by Jordyn All Kids Should Have to Play Sport After School I strongly believe all kids should play sport after school. Would you want your kid to be lazy? Imagine your kid was yelling at you. What would you do? I strongly believe that all kids should play sport after school because it will keep them fit, be good for their mental and physical health, and help with social interaction. I believe kids should play sport after school because it keeps them fit and helps them meet the daily recommended amount of physical activity. A great activity after school is playing ball games. According to teachkids.eu, young people need at least an hour of playtime every day to stay fit. After school sport is really important because it helps children develop flexibility, prevents their muscles from getting stiff and can help prevent injuries after sitting in the classroom all day. Playing sport after school is also a great way for children to build stamina, which gives them lasting energy to get through busy school days without feeling exhausted. Playing sport after school is good for your mental and physical health. Playing sport is awesome for your brain because it can give you a huge boost of dopamine. Dopamine is a chemical in your brain that can make you feel happy and excited. When you run around, score goals or play with your teammates, your brain releases chemicals that can help reduce stress. Playing sport outside after school can also help you get vitamin D from sunlight. Your body needs vitamin D to absorb calcium, which helps make your bones strong. Playing sport is good for kids because it helps your body and your brain at the same time. The best part is that you get to hang out with your friends and make awesome new ones. You learn how to work as a team, share the ball and cheer each other on when someone scores. All of these social connections can help you feel included and connected to others. Playing sport outside after school is awesome because it is a great way to make friends. Your teammates can cheer you up whenever you are sad, help you when things get really hard and quickly become your best buddies outside school. Playing sport after school also teaches you about teamwork, which is a super important skill. Whether you are on the field or on the court, you can’t win a game all by yourself. Another month, time flies when you're busy. Our sub-branch has been quite active with ‘Friyay’ (Tropical Friday RSL catchup at Fisherman’s Landing) and the raffles at the Rollingstone Hotel (every 2nd Sunday) we would like to thank the following businesses for their continued support, Fisherman's Landing Fish and Chips, Rollingstone Ranch, Rollingstone Hotel as well as a huge shout out to our hard-working volunteers. Save the date Afghan25—Sunday the 11th of October 2026 where we invite everyone to commemorate those who served in the Afghanistan war in the Middle East area of operations. 10:00 am, Balgal Beach Memorial, corner of Tooth St and The Esplanade, Balgal Beach. Lastly I would like to see some community spirit to get behind DaIne. This young man from Rollingstone State School will be competing in the state championship in Brisbane on the 12th—14th of October, and representing North QLD. His major will be long jump as well as tetrathlon, which is 100 metres 800 metres shot put and again long jump. Rollingstone and District Leo Club Our Leos had a great activity last month with basketball, cricket, toasted marshmallows over the coals of the firepit and a game of spotlight to finish off. Thank you to the Lions and Leo Advisors who supported us on the day. Leos also supported the Rollingstone Harvest Carnival with Leos selling cold drinks and also participating in events on the oval. Great to see so many young people enjoying themselves at this event. On Sunday 8 November the club will hold the Lap the Map Colour Run and Obstacle Course as part of the Lions Diabetes Awareness Healthy Lifestyle Program. This will start at 4.00pm and finish with a Lions complimentary hot dog for all participants. We hope to have a great turnout of youth and kids on the day to enjoy this event, as well as participating in a healthy

lifestyle event. In December we will be supporting the Mutarnee School Colour Run and Obstacle Course on Friday 4 December and the Rollingstone School Colour Run and Obstacle Course on Tuesday 8 December. Community carols and packing of the Leo Christmas hampers are planned for Wednesday 9 December, followed by the proposed hospital visit and Leo club breakup on Monday 14 December. It’s been a windy month, that’s for sure. Glenn, Len and Gavin have been sneaking out to the reef and up the creek at Lucinda with some nice fish caught including spanish mackerel, coral trout and very nice nannies. Unfortunately, like every fishing story, there are always good ones lost to the tax collector. Young Alex (club junior) caught an awesome barra recently. Our junior members are important for the next generation of fishing enthusiasts, so we love to hear about your adventures and catches too. Mums and Dads let us know about their fishing stories. Markets The markets went well for September, with a record 26 stalls including six new stall holders displaying their goods A big thank you to the Holden car club for visiting our markets. Fishing and Social Events If you don’t have a boat and you would like to get out on the water, our members are happy, where possible, to take a few passengers for a day’s fishing, soaking up the sun or destressing. Get in touch on our FB page for a possible opportunity to take a different view of our beautiful area. The committee is considering a weekend away before the end of the year. Some suggestions have been tossed around with the committee to decide on a venue and date. Usually, our trips away are only a few hours’ drive which makes it easy for people to travel. Also, they consider those members that don’t have caravans or self-accommodation. Venues with cabins are always looked at to accommodate all members. If a trip away is not possible this year, a date and venue will be posted for 2027.

As you know, time flies fast these days and Christmas is just around the corner. O M Goodness! The committee has secured the 28th of November as a date for the club’s Christmas party at Mystic Sands Sports and Wellness. All options for a date in December have already been booked out. As the details are finalised, members will be notified. In past years, Macca and Sharon have graciously offered their home as a venue for the Christmas party however, with membership growing it was decided that the work to host again would require a great deal of planning and work on their part, hence the switch to a fully catered venue. Announcement of the club’s AGM will be sent out members soon. Monthly BBQ With several of the committee members back from their winter breaks, the BBQ was in full swing at the Lions Den. The food and conversation were terrific with lots of stories from some of our member’s trips away. It’s not all about fishing, but there is inevitably a story or two about the one that got away. Our next BBQ will be held at the Lions Den (Community Centre) on the Sunday 25th October.. New members are always welcome. You don’t have to be into fishing to join. There are plenty of social events to enjoy, with at least two trips away each year. Raffles The fishing club seafood tray raffles are held on the 4th Friday of every month at Mystic Sand Sports and Wellness. Come on down for a great night. Book a table for a meal and beverages, the seafood trays are well worth the win! The raffles held recently was a great night and the results were excellent. Funds raised go towards supporting member’s trips away, BBQ (free food), Christmas party as well as conducting our annual Kids Fishing Classic event. Balgal Beach Bowls Club Inc. Good Arvo, Balgalians, Consider this the inaugural dispatch of what we envisage will become a regular monthly column on behalf of the relatively embryonic, yet undeniably kick-arse, Balgal Beach Bowls Club Inc. Now, before delving into anything too complicated, let us just clarify: we are a bold, fiercely autonomous new entity, entirely not associated, nor affiliated with Mystic Sands Sports and Wellness. We enjoy a casual roll, a fierce comp, and share a collective philosophy on the true socio-cultural mechanics of community spirit. Some of us can play pennants and competitions others are better suited to looking pretty & cheering from the side lines. All equally important. We officially achieved Not-For-Profit incarnation on 9 June 2026, and our growth trajectory is literally bursting at our metaphorical seams. Our demographic tapestry is a tad expansive: we boast seasoned veterans, RSL members, special needs/ disability bowlers (and I will boast here at State level), Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander bowlers, senior citizens, teenagers, and every gender. EVERYONE is welcome. To illustrate our generational bridge, our youngest member is a mere 14 years old, while our reigning matriarch has just gracefully crossed the 85-yearsyoung threshold and is loved by all and considered an absolute gemstone (happy birthday again Gwen Phillips). Granted, from a purely logistical standpoint, we do not technically possess a home green “just yet”. However,

we view this as a very minor and somewhat transient inconvenience rather than a structural flaw. Please chill ! A temporary grand venue announcement is absolutely imminent and in the interim, we remain proudly nomadic. Over the past trimester, our wandering bowling troupe has descended upon Ingham, Cutheringa, South Townsville, Suburban, and Magnetic Island. At present, our membership tally already stands at 40 dedicated legends, and the ledger remains open for new inmates (we meant initiates). Full annual membership is priced at $135, whilst socialtier belonging sits at $65. Crucially, both tiers come with a complimentary social bowls shirt - which is currently navigating the cosmic abyss of international postal logistics, hopefully enroute from a mysterious manufacturing facility as we speak. Look Who’s Back…. Well… look who’s come crawling out of the woodwork for another crack at the Rolly Rag. Hmm… I suppose an explanation of sorts might be in order. I should think so. After you spat the dummy last time and took all your stories to the evil empire of social media, it felt like you’d abandon us. What’s your feeble excuse for this effort? Well… it was clearly more of a ‘dropping of the bottom lip’, than a fully-fledged dummy spit. But here’s what’s happened since then… I ended up doing a heap of writing once the urge took over and loaded up all sorts of nonsense to a Facebook page called Balgal Beach Social. All of which may well have been upsetting or inappropriate if it had been published in the Rag. I mean… colonoscopies, homosexuality and estrogen aren’t always the topics one might choose for some light, bedside reading, are they! Anyway, I lumped all of that, along with some other stuff, into a book and ‘The Chronicles of Goughy’ was released on an unsuspecting public. That book is now available in all the very best fish and chip shops (just like Fisherman’s Landing) and once read, is widely sought after and extremely useful as a liner for the more discerning budgie cage proprietor. The rest of my time has been allocated between infrequent fits of housework, intermittent attempts at gardening, futile efforts to curb the appetites of

wallabies, kangaroos and white cockatoos and valiant but stunted versions of a second book. And recently, I signed on as a member of the Rollingstone Neighbourhood Centre, accepted a nomination onto the Management Committee and they have been gracious enough to allow me to contribute. I know… I’ve always maintained the I don’t “do” committees. What can I say? I couldn’t help myself. AH HA!!! I knew it. This is all going to be some sort of propaganda campaign. You’re going to use this to preach some sort of new politics, aren’t you!!! Dear me. You are wound up a bit tight, aren’t you? May I suggest you slide your thumbs down the front of your Y-fronts and take the pressure off, maybe loosen your girdle, lean back in your comfy chair and take a breath. I’ll pop the kettle on and make us all a nice cuppa. Now… while you stop shaking your head, rolling your eyes and plucking at the sleeve of your cardigan… remember, you don’t have to read this. It isn’t mandatory or necessary or probably even very good. So… if this one makes it through, I’ll pass on some things from the RNC from time to time, tell some stories, talk about my family and more than likely get my knuckles rapped by someone for my opinions on whatever else floats into my head – but if you don’t like it, turn the page. What a fantastic night we had at our Neighbourhood Centre Family Night on 29th August. The children partied the night away at our amazing Balloon Disco. The kids showed us some of their best dance moves, and then the parents and grandparents joined in and showed the younger generation how to really party!

Come along for a spooky time, lots of fun and games! Dress up if you’d like and bring the family along for another great community night. We can’t wait to see you there!

Cassowaries in Your Backyard What three years of tracking has found around the Paluma Range The Paluma Range cassowary population is the southern-most in the world. For three years, with BirdLife Townsville as project auspice, we’ve been tracking this population using camera traps, sign surveys and community sightings. What we’ve found matters to every household along the lowland creeks of Rollingstone, Crystal Creek, Bambaroo and beyond. Cassowaries have been confirmed visiting the lowlands on Leichhardt Creek, Rollingstone Creek, Hencamp Creek, Ollera Creek, Crystal Creek, around Bambaroo and Waterview Creek. Some of these records come from our camera traps; many more come from locals who’ve spotted a bird crossing the road, found tracks in the sand or simply remembered a story worth sharing. Together, camera and community evidence tell the same story: this population is not confined to the upland rainforest around Paluma village. It relies on the lowlands too. Their movement follows the fruit. Cassowaries move down into these lowland habitats during the mid-to-late dry season, timed closely with the heavy fruiting of the native olive, Chionanthus ramiflorus, which turns up in their dung. These lowland visitations also coincide with mango fruiting season, and we have confirmed records of cassowaries feeding on both feral and orchard mangoes around Rollingstone, Crystal Creek and Bambaroo. In October 2023, a member of the public recorded the first confirmed crossing of the highway by a cassowary at Rollingstone Creek, a reminder of the mobility of these birds and how much risk they take on to find new food, mates and territories.

None of this is guaranteed to last as the southern cassowary is threatened with extinction Over 3 years of camera trapping, we have confirmed only 12 individuals, with a hotspot in the northeast of the Paluma Range National Park. Feral pigs compete for the same fruit and likely prey on eggs, and chick and domestic dogs and vehicle strikes are a real risk during lowland visitations. Invasive guinea and gamba grasses fuel hotter fires along habitat margins, rapid climate change will impact rainforest fruit production while native vegetation clearing continues to restrict the safe passage these birds need between upland and lowland forest. This is exactly why NQ Dry Tropics NRM’s project to support landholders to protect and restore lowland tropical rainforest and littoral rainforest is so important working directly with landholders along these same creeks to control feral pigs, restore creekbank vegetation to control erosion and ease flood peaks, all while restoring the fruit resources cassowaries depend on. If you live along the coast, especially close to the base of the Paluma range, your sightings matter more than you might think. A track, a dropping, a bird glimpsed crossing a paddock, recent or from years ago, all help build a genuine picture of how this remarkable, ancient population is holding on. Toomulla Beach News Spring has officially arrived at Toomulla Beach, bringing warmer weather, blooming coastal flora, and an increase in local activity. As our community enjoys the change of season, it is the perfect time to look out for our local environment, protect our unique wildlife, and keep our beautiful suburb safe for everyone. With the arrival of spring, you will notice a significant increase in wildlife activity around Toomulla. The region has been experiencing prolonged dry periods, forcing many animals to travel closer to roads and residential areas in search of food and water. Please drive at safe, controlled speeds, especially during dawn, dusk, and nighttime hours when visibility is low, and wildlife is most active. Slowing down by just 10 km/ h can give you the vital reaction time needed to avoid a collision, keeping both you and our native animals safe. The dry weather has been particularly tough on our local kangaroo and wallaby populations. If you live on a property bordering natural bushland or have a safe area on your property, consider leaving out bowls of fresh, clean water. Use shallow, sturdy containers placed in shaded areas. Keep the water fresh and top it up regularly to support our wildlife through this dry spell. Toomulla Beach remains one of the most pristine pockets of our region, and we all want to keep it that way.

With more residents and visitors enjoying our beaches, please remember to take your rubbish home with you. If public bins are full, do not leave bags alongside them, as wildlife can tear them open and scatter litter into our oceans and bushland. Let's all do our bit to leave no trace.

Crocodile Safety Reminder: As the weather warms up, crocodiles become much more active and mobile. Toomulla Beach and its surrounding creeks and waterways are known crocodile habitats. Please stay Crocwise by following these essential safety steps: • Expect crocodiles in all northern waterways, even if you do not see a sign. • Stand back at least 5 meters from the water's edge when fishing. • Never clean fish or discard fish frames near boat ramps or water edges. • Watch Your Dogs Near Waterways The Toomulla Coast Care Volunteers have been hard at it again, this time gathering near Sunset Rocks to target invasive weeds. These working bees rely on the dedication of local residents who donate their time to keep the Toomulla coastline resilient and healthy. By removing the invasive species before they drop seed, the volunteers have given the native beachfront a better opportunity to thrive.

The Townsville City Council Division 1 by-election was recently conducted via a full postal ballot, following the resignation of former councilor Paul Jacob. The community is full of hope that the new leadership will bring fresh energy and a strong voice to the Council. Division 1 residents face unique challenges regarding distance, local roads, and community infrastructure, and we look forward to seeing the newly elected councilor foster a highly inclusive, positive, and lasting impact across our diverse local communities. Trivia: The word Toomulla is a word that means "throwing stick". Originally from the Indigenous languages of the Belyando District, south of Charters Towers, the name was officially chosen and given to our coastal town in 1956. OX2 is proud to support the Rollingstone Harvest Carnival, continuing our support of this wonderful community over a number of years. We enjoyed attending the event and chatting with many local community members and we look forward to supporting the full-scale Pineapple Festival when it is back in operation. OX2 is the developer of Sunshine State Solar Farm and Battery, that will generate clean energy from the sun and support Australia’s transition to a cleaner energy future. OX2 is pleased to support local events such as the Harvest Carnival, that bring the community together. 22

It was great to catch up with the Rollingstone community at the Rollingstone and District Lions Club Men’s Breakfast last month, alongside members of other community organisations. These groups are at the heart of our small communities. They bring people together, build friendships and ensure locals have somewhere to turn for connection and support. I also enjoyed spending a Friday morning with the Year 6 students at Bluewater State School. We spoke about leadership, life in politics and the qualities that make a good leader. The students asked plenty of thoughtful questions, and it was encouraging to meet these young leaders as they prepare to begin high school next year. Supporting young people was also the focus of a recent anti-bullying roundtable in Townsville with Minister John-Paul Langbroek. Teachers, students, parents and community representatives shared their experiences and ideas about preventing bullying. As we move into the warmer months, preparing for bushfire season must remain a priority across Rollingstone and our neighbouring communities. Conditions can change quickly, even if your property has never been directly affected by fire. Burning embers can travel kilometres ahead of a bushfire, putting homes, sheds and properties at risk before the fire front arrives. Please prepare early, remain alert and follow official advice. Report active fires to Triple Zero (000) and suspicious activity to Policelink on 131 444. I also want to thank our Rural Fire Service volunteers and emergency personnel, who give their time to help keep our communities safe.

Community safety remains one of my highest priorities. Since being elected, I have continued to advocate for stronger consequences when offenders breach the trust that comes with being granted bail. During the latest sitting of Parliament, the Crisafulli Government introduced its Breach Bail, Go to Jail legislation, delivering what will be the toughest bail laws in the country. Under the proposed laws, youth offenders who commit an Adult Crime, Adult Time offence while on bail will face a mandatory minimum of 12 months’ detention. Consequences will also apply to adults who commit prescribed serious offences while on bail. The test for granting bail will also be strengthened. Courts will need to be reasonably satisfied that an offender will follow their bail conditions and will not commit another offence if released. Bail should be a privilege, not a revolving door back onto our streets. Adult Crime, Adult Time was an important first step in restoring consequences for serious offending. We are beginning to see progress, but there is still a long way to go. We will continue working to make Queensland safer through stronger laws, more police, early intervention and rehabilitation. The legislation has now been referred to the Justice, Integrity and Community Safety Committee for consideration and public feedback. I encourage residents to learn more, share their views at listen2qld.com/breachbail, and make a submission directly to the parliamentary committee.

Rollingstone Harvest Carnival The Rollingstone Harvest Carnival proved to be an enjoyable day for all involved bringing the local community and visitors together. The market stall holders displayed a great array of goods for sale and on display. Children “had a ball” in “Annabelle’s Kids Corner” and everyone enjoyed the Harvest Games competitions. The variety of such wonderful live entertainment was amazing. Thank you to our sponsors and supporters as well as the volunteers who helped on the day. Thank you so much to the committee members who have worked all year to make this event happen. Staff Support Beyond Expectations Students at Gilroy Santa Maria College (GSMC) are met with a dedicated and experienced staff group, to provide an education that goes beyond. Led by College Principal, Mrs Johanna Smith, the staff group provides and even mix of male and female teaching staff, many who are past students returning to the College to nurture future generations. Whether a student shines in the academic or extracurricular space, they will be guided and encouraged by enthusiastic staff. For students seeking an extensive extra-curricular experience, GSMC is home to staff and coaches who have fulfilled these roles on a national level and bring expertise to local students. Adding to the Catholic school experience at GSMC, is the extensive Pastoral Care delivered through both planned strategies and members of the College. This may be experienced in daily interactions with staff, at Pastoral assemblies and on special school events such as the College Fun Run. RNC Community Bus Passenger Guidelines Our community bus is one of the most important services we offer in Rollingstone. It keeps people connected, helps households manage the rising cost of living, and makes it easier for locals to get to appointments, shopping, and community events. It’s been fantastic to see the service so well used — every full bus is a sign of a strong, connected community. To keep the bus safe, comfortable, and accessible for everyone, we ask all passengers to follow a few simple guidelines: • Keep aisles clear — Bags, parcels, walkers and personal items must not block the walkway at any time. • Limit groceries and parcels — Space is shared, so please only bring what can fit safely under your seat or in the designated storage areas. • Secure your items — Loose bags can shift during travel. Please make sure everything is tucked away before the bus departs. • Be mindful of others — Seats are for passengers first.
