PARENT/GUARDIAN BULLETIN: 5 Week Commencing Monday 3 October 2022

Key Notices Open Day – Saturday 1 October We are looking forward to seeing your daughter in school tomorrow. The girls have all been allocated roles as ambassadors either touring or assigned to a department – they always do a brilliant job, and our visitors always comment on how impressive they are. Your daughter should be in full winter uniform, that is white shirt and a tie – the summer blue shirt should not be worn. The minibuses will be running tomorrow – they will pick up one hour later than normal, and they will leave at about 12:30, depending on whether there are performers or speakers on the bus, and they will leave from the Club House. The girls’ first port of call is to register with her Head of Year at 09:15 at the following locations: Year 7 – Cloisters Years 8-10 – C Hall Year 12 – Keswick Prefects and performers – should go to the School Office to register along with any Year 11 and Year 13 pupils who have offered to help. If your daughter is unable to attend Open Day, a reminder that permission should have been requested from Miss Allen (via aby@roedean.co.uk). As per a normal school day if pupils are missing, we will be contacting home.

RISE Run – 16 October RISE is the chosen charity for Year 11 this year, and the girls, along with Miss Orrells, are running an 8k race to raise money for the charity. There will also be more fundraising events throughout the rest of the year. RISE is a local domestic abuse charity that has been supporting women and their families in Brighton for over 25 years. The 8k run is a yearly event, which is a show of solidarity and support for women who have experienced domestic abuse.
