Rockford Art Museum features artwork by 9th-12th grade students from local schools during the 85th Young Artist Show: High School Division, opening on Sunday, March 1st at RAM – Rockford Art Museum (RAM) opens its 85th Young Artist Show: High School Division with a free public opening and awards ceremony 12–2 p.m., Sunday, March 1. Sponsored by the Women’s Art Board of Rockford Art Museum, the exhibition remains on view through March 29 at RAM, located inside the Riverfront Museum Park building at 711 North Main Street in downtown Rockford, Illinois. Teachers at schools within 50 miles of Rockford Art Museum submitted nearly 800 pieces for consideration by this year’s juror, who chose 292 works of art representing 237 students at 20 area schools. On view are paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, photography, digital art, mixed media and more. Awards will be announced at 1 p.m. during the free public opening on Sunday, March 1.
