HISTORY & TRADITION Rockledge Country Club is the Space Coast's original and most storied country club in Brevard County dating back to the early 1900's. The course is renowned for its lush, authentic Florida landscape where the fairways are lined with mature oaks, pine trees, and historic palms trees. You will find the incredible conditioning on our golf course makes it as undeniably beautiful as it is challenging.
FROM THE DESK OF A. BEYEL Happy February, Well, it seems Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow, so it looks like 6 more weeks of winter. Personally, I am ready for some warmer weather. Golf continues to be one of the safest and most popular activities during this unprecedented time. As Rockledge Country Club’s business model has had to adapt to current culture and change, we have seen our rounds and membership continue to grow. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of all the changes to our website and the online booking for your convenience. Each membership comes with private access to your online booking, statements and what is going on around the club. Your tee time can be made online or you can continue to reserve through the golf staff. We will be adding a feature for outside play to the public side of the website soon with different rules. It is very hard to predict where the COVID-19 situation will take us as we move forward throughout the new year, but we will keep you informed of any major changes to our operation. In the meantime, please remember to respect each other’s space and keep your hands clean. I again strongly suggest the use of facemasks in the clubhouse unless you are dining. Also, another popular outdoor activity we see continuing to grow is pickleball. Make sure you get with the pro shop on how you can get access to lessons if you are interested in learning more. Getting out of the house and enjoying outside activities is a good way to help keep up your physical and mental health.
Cupid is around the corner and though many are not comfortable with restaurant dining now why not take advantage of Couples golf to really have a fun day and enjoy each other. Men’s Member Guest is Thursday, March 4th, through Saturday, March 6th this year. For those of you new to the club this is usually a time we like to showcase the club with a great weekend of golf for Members and an outside guest. This event has been built on tradition, quality, and camaraderie. Due to circumstances caused by the current environment we are changing it up a bit. With the desire to keep everyone as safe as possible we will be creating our very own bourbon street with all activities outside. There will be a limit of 36 teams max. This year teams may also consist of 2 members. Please also note that we will allow wives to join the kickoff party on Thursday. The Saturday night dinner will be changed to a street party starting with live music at 1:00. Any members that would like to spectate on Saturday from the “Bourbon Street Veranda” are welcome as the flight winner shootout should be in view from the clubhouse starting also at 1:00. On the Course Welcome to the new year, and hopefully one that is full of golf! We have a lot going on at the club in the next few months, so we are busy trying to keep the course in good shape. We have topdressed the greens recently and they are running smooth. The overseeded tees are holding up nicely, also. We intend to do a little fertilizing and preemergent application in February to take advantage of any warm spells that may come along. The Member-Guest is coming up in March, and that is always a special event for us. Hope to see all of you out soon enjoying everything Florida has to offer this time of year! Club House Dear Members and Guests, As a Department reminder, we are following all the guidelines and protocol set forth by the FL Department of Health. We are routinely cleaning and sanitizing, hand sanitizer and mask are being provided in locations throughout the club, we are monitoring and staying within the allotted occupancy limits and we are communicating through signage on property, weekly newsletters and on the club’s website.
I ask and encourage our members to be proactive as well in keeping each other safe by wearing face coverings at all times when possible, washing hands or using hand sanitizer frequently, staying home if you are not feeling well and reporting any possible contact or exposure to someone who was or may have been infected with the virus. Seating has been in the dining outlets to adhere to the 6’ distancing rules and all staff continue to wear masks and wash hands often at all times when servicing the members. Our team is very excited as we plan for the upcoming MMG Golf Tournament. We look forward to presenting an awesome experience on "Bourbon Street". Our planning is ensuring that the event will be safe, fun, and always memorable. Appreciate your time!
