Dear Members & Guests, As we navigate through the winter season, I'm thrilled to share some exciting updates and upcoming events at our beloved golf course. Valentine's Day Dinner - February 14th Firstly, let's talk about romance! Our Valentine's Day Dinner is just around the corner. We're looking forward to hosting you and your loved ones for a memorable evening filled with exquisite dining and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Make sure to book your reservations soon to ensure your spot at this special event. Winter Season Success I'm pleased to report that this winter season has been fantastic! Thanks to our dedicated staff and the unwavering support of our members, we've enjoyed numerous successful events and activities despite the unpredictable weather. Your enthusiasm and participation make all the difference. Upcoming Course Improvements Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans for enhancing our golf course. Upcoming projects include significant upgrades on several fairways and improvements to our range. These developments are crucial for elevating the quality and experience of our course. I understand that this will require patience and understanding as we undergo these changes. Rest assured, the results will be well worth the wait - by this time next year, our course will be more remarkable than ever. Expect to see visible progress very soon. Super Bowl Party at VUE 18 - February 11th Get ready for some football action! Join us at VUE 18 for our Super Bowl party on February 11th, starting at 6 PM. It's going to be an epic face-off between the Kansas City Chiefs and the 49ers. Don't miss out on the excitement, great food, and the camaraderie as we enjoy one of America's favorite sporting events together. These are indeed exciting times at our golf course, and I am grateful for your continued support and enthusiasm. Remember, we're not just a golf course; we're a community. Together, we'll make this year an incredible one. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE
We are excited to have all the bunkers completed now. Many of the bunkers have sod surrounding them and complete renovation and healing of those areas will take some time. We do ask that everyone use proper etiquette in the bunkers. This means entering the bunkers from the low side and exiting from the low side. Always rake your footprints as smoothly as possible. The sand in the bunkers is still settling some and will continue to do so. As it does, it will begin to firm up and not be as soft as it is now. We appreciate your continued help to keep our new bunkers in great shape! We are excited about the projects to be done this summer. We intend to renovate four Fairways. They are number five, number seven, number 10 and number 12. There will be a period of time where those holes will be closed while the grass is being developed. That process should take around eight weeks. Prior to springing those holes, we will need to kill the existing vegetation. Play will be allowed during that time. We will also be renovating the driving range tee. The tee will be leveled and sodded. There will be a temporary tee in front of the tee for a period of time. The driving range tee will not be closed as long as the fairways, because we will be sodding the tee. We are also involved in some drainage projects and tree removal projects. There is a lot going on at your club, and that is very exciting! Look forward to seeing you soon at the club.

As we head into the busy time of the year for Member Golf Events, we wanted to give everyone a reminder on the dates and deadlines to get signed up for some of our Annual Club Events, please see below for the details: Ladies Club Championship: Saturday and Sunday February 10-11, 2024. Signup Deadline Wednesday February 7. Men’s Match Play Championship: Matches Begin February 14th, 2024. Signup Deadline February 11th. Men’s Club Championship: Saturday and Sunday March 10-11, 2024. More information coming soon on Details and Signup. Driving Range Upgrades: We hope everyone is enjoying some new Driving Range upgrades that have occurred recently. The Winter rye grass continues to come in nicely and we have been able to enjoy great grass surfaces all winter long, to go along with the brand new Callaway Range Balls. We also recently installed new target posts that are more stable and visible. We are currently refurbishing the club washers and will be adding additional amenities soon. New Golf Shop Items: Many of the new companies have recently launched their 2024 line of products, the golf shop is now carrying some of the most popular items including the following: -Callaway Smoke Club Line -TaylorMade Qi Club Line -New Titleist AVX and Tour Soft Golf Balls -New Callaway Chrome Series of Golf Balls Also, be sure to stop in to checkout some of our new logoed fleece wear from Bermuda Sands, perfect on those cooler mornings in the winter. Also, incoming this month will be a new line of Footjoy shirts, along with some Rockledge Logo Tee Shirts and activewear. Lastly, we are thrilled to be offering our first ever PGA Junior League here at Rockledge starting this March. We have a full field of young juniors that are ready to practice and grow their games here at Rockledge, along with having fun team competitions against other local teams. You will see these young players around the club in their PGA Junior League Jerseys working on their game, please wish them luck on their season when you see them!
