Dear Members and Guests,
I hope you're enjoying your summer and finding time to get out on the course despite the Florida heat!
While many people think of summer as our slower season, it's one of the busiest times of the year for our team. It gives us the opportunity to complete projects that are difficult to tackle during our peak golf season while continuing to maintain the quality of the course our members expect.
One of the most noticeable improvements is our Pro Shop renovation. With new flooring, fresh paint, and updated finishes, the space is getting a much-needed refresh. We're excited to share the finished product with you very soon.
We're also pleased to welcome a new beverage cart to the club. Having two beverage carts available allows us to provide better coverage during busy days and events, helping us serve our golfers more efficiently throughout the course.
Some improvements aren't glamorous, but they're incredibly important. This summer we're upgrading our irrigation pump station project we've hoped and planned to complete for many years. While most members will never see it, this investment is critical to maintaining the health and quality of our golf course for years to come. We're grateful to finally be moving this long-awaited project forward.
Summer is also one of the most demanding times for our outside maintenance team. The grass is growing faster than ever, and this year's heat has certainly added another level of challenge. Even with those conditions, our crew continues to keep the course in excellent shape while making progress on these important improvement projects. Their dedication is what keeps Rockledge Country Club looking its best every day.
As always, thank you for your continued support and patience as we invest in the future of our club. Every improvement we make is with our members in mind, and we're excited about what's ahead as we move into the fall season.

UPDATE
Although we are in the middle of the summer and the heat makes it tough to play some days, the course continued to see a tremendous amount of activity in July, with 30% more rounds of golf from our Members and Guests over last July.
We had a tremendous turnout for our annual July 4 Scramble, thanks to all the players who participated in a great day of holiday golf which was followed by a cookout with awards and prizes. th
We also finished our last sessions of Junior Summer camps, with another sold out camp. Coach Dalton and the rest of the team did an amazing job as we introduced many new kids to the game of golf. Next up for our Juniors is the fall edition of the PGA Junior League, for the first time ever we have added another team and will now have two Rockledge Teams this fall to meet the demand for this amazing program. For the adults, we will have a fall operation 36 instruction program starting in October, be on the lookout for this information that will be coming out soon.
You may have noticed many upgrades around the clubhouse recently, all of which we are very excited about. We have installed a new bag drop covered shade area that will provide incoming golfers with a place to drop their clubs off and pickup your cart, our starter will also be stationed in this area to assist with any needs. We also shifted our water and ice station out closer to this area to make it more accessible for golfers heading to the first tee, driving range, or getting ready to tee off. The Golf shop has also received a much-needed makeover. With some new flooring, a refinished check-in counter, along with a fresh paint
and introduce yourself to her next time you are at the club.

once again be a small tine operation with minimal negative results to the putting surface. A spray program will be ongoing for the next week or so. This will be done to eliminate current weeds and to apply a preemergent herbicide to deter growth of future weeds. We are currently in the process of renovating the pumps and motors as well as the system operations at the pumphouse. The current system has served us well over the years but is aging and beginning to deteriorate. This upgrade will serve us well for years to come.
Hopefully you have noticed the new plant material and mulch that was applied at the clubhouse area. We are also beginning to see a lot of new life in our Clusia hedge that was damaged by the cold this previous winter.
We would like to thank everyone for adhering to the directional signage, ropes and stakes on the golf course path areas. Please give yourselves a hand! It has made a big difference in the turf quality in those areas. The goal will be to create a healthy enough turf area in the summer to withstand the winter traffic.
