Philharmonics Series

—a season that celebrates bold ideas, extraordinary artists, and the transformative power of live music.

We open with a powerful statement of creativity and discovery, featuring a world premiere by Michael Torke, John Adams’ Violin Concerto with Leila Josefowicz, and Dvořák’s beloved “New World” Symphony. At the heart of the season is an ambitious Piano Festival, bringing together remarkable artists Olga Kern, Barry Douglas, Jonathan Biss, and Marc-André Hamelin in masterworks by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Brahms.

Throughout the season, we explore the full expressive range of the orchestra—from the flowing lyricism of Smetana’s The Moldau and the warmth of Schumann’s “Rhenish” Symphony, to the cinematic sweep of Korngold, Richard Strauss, and John Williams. We are also thrilled to welcome genre-defying artistry, including Carolina Eyck performing the theremin in a one-night-only Philharmonics Special for the Rochester Fringe. and a special presentation of Jeff Beal’s Metropolis led by the composer himself.

Every program this season is designed to inspire, challenge, and connect. I look forward to sharing these unforgettable musical moments with you—and to welcoming you back to Kodak Hall with your RPO.

Warmly,

ANDREAS DELFS

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

After you complete your subscription order, we will send you a confirmation via email. Please be sure to include your email address on your order form.

Your subscription seats will be assigned to you by late June 2026. You will be notified by email prior to tickets going on sale to the general public in late July 2026. Upon receiving the email, you may call in to discuss other seating options. We will make every effort to accommodate you. Requests for changes are honored according to the date orders are received and paid, with full series Philharmonics A and Pops X subscribers receiving priority.

If you add tickets to your package, we will assign those seats starting in June after all subscriber packages have been seated.

Subscribers may request exchanges upon subscribing. Those requests will then be processed by our Patron Services team starting June 2026. In early August, you will receive your season and add-on tickets. Satisfaction guaranteed! Ticket refunds are available up to the first performance date in your package. Handling fees are non-refundable.
