WE ARE NORDICBUDDIES

We grew up with the 90s era of animation, comics and characters and therefore our mission is to bring brands from this era to life through modern apparel and accessories with courageous colors & design. We are determined to break boundaries in order to bring our clients high quality items and a responsible production. Nordicbuddies was founded at the end of 2019 in Finland. Today, Nordicbuddies have distribution in over 20 different countries.

CREATING A UNIQUE AND BOLD WORLD WITH MOOMIN OFFICIAL

The Moomins are the central characters in a series of Moomin books and a Moomintroll comic strip by Tove Jansson. The adventurous Moomin family live in their house in Moominvalley and have many adventures with their various friends.

Currently our biggest brand (license) is (C) Moomin Characters LTD™. In a very short time we have grown to be one of their biggest Moomin licensees. All of our designs are created and designed in Helsinki, Finland on a small Island called Lauttasaari (also known as “The Island of the happy ones”).

Our goal is to create a name that people want to follow and interact with.

We want to create sense of community. Interacting with our audience is very important and we put a lot of effort into our community management. Community is key.

As a result our engagement rate is way above normal.

NORDIC BUDDIES IN JAPAN

At the end of 2022, Nordicbuddies established its own company shop in Japan, marking a significant milestone in our journey. Japan’s love for Nordic design and Moomin has us beaming with pride as we introduce Finnish design & stories to this magical market. Simultaneously, we are learning every day of the Japanese product design, enriching our expertise and offering invaluable insights that shape our global design approach.

Moomin thermal bottle is a reusable drink container that keeps drinks cold and hot. The bottle has two layers of stainless steel - an inner wall and outerwall with a thin layer of air between so the temperature of the drink remains the same without changing the outside temperature of the bottle. Plastic screw cap for drinking on the go and a removable lid for refilling.

Heat retention has been calculated under the condition of adding hot water at 95±1°C and leaving it in room temperature. After 1 hour the temperature was 87±1°C and after 6 hours greater than 68±1°C.
