WE ARE NORDICBUDDIES

Nordicbuddies was founded in 2019 with the vision to revolutionise the lisence product market known from low quality & tacky products. In addition, we felt that there was no fashionable apparel available at all for young adults who love the iconic stories that they grew up with. Fast forward to today, we are currently selling in 18 markets and have grown to be one of the biggest Moomin lisence holders.

There are three values that guide us both internally and externally and they are imprinted in our name:

We are from the Nordics. For us that means representing amazing Nordic brands. It also means we are determined to always deliver quality products. We are all buddies. So wether we’re talking about customer service, our visual language, the way we co mmunicate in general or the culture at the office we always make sure everyone is welcomed! Courage. This can be seen throughout our product design, approach to social media and our hunger for adventure.

Currently we hold licenses form Moomin, Mauri Kunnas and now our newest recruit Pippi Longstocking

All of our designs are created and designed in Helsinki, Finland on a small Island called Lauttasaari (also known as “The Island of the happy ones”).

We want more that just great products.

Our goal is to create a name that people want to follow and interact with.

We want to create sense of co mmunity. Interacting with our audience is very important and we put a lot of effort into our co mmunity management. Co mmunity is key.

As a result our engagement rate is way above normal.

LONGSTOCKING

Pippi Longstocking is a nine-year-old girl who one day arrives in the little town and moves into ‘Villa Villekulla’ all by herself. She has with her her monkey, Mr Nilsson, and her horse, as well as a big bag full of gold coins. She happens to be the strongest girl in the world. Pippi doesn’t need any adults to help her; she’s absolutely fine on her own. She never needs to do anything she doesn’t want to do, just because someone told her to. And she doesn’t think much of people or things that don’t deserve to be thought of. Pippi is free.

With her mismatched stockings, carrotcoloured hair and freckly face, not to mention super-human strength and resilience, Pippi Longstocking has become a cultural icon.

Pippi is regularly voted as one of the world’s favourite children’s characters; self-sufficient, quick-witted, generous and never letting anything – or anyone – shake her self-belief or take advantage.

CREATING A UNIQUE AND BOLD WORLD WITH PIPPI LONGSTOCKING

No stranger to counter-culture, Pippi can be seen around the world in tattoos, celebrity photographs, works of graffiti and on catwalks as a symbol of female strength, resilience, kindness, fairness and acceptance.

We wan’t to encapsulate this energy and create clothing with as much boldness as Pippi herself.

THERMAL EVERYDAY WATER BOTTLE

Material: Stainless steel, PP Plastic, Silicone

Pippi thermal bottle is a reusable drink container that keeps drinks cold and hot. The bottle has two layers of stainless steel - an inner wall and outerwall with a thin layer of air between so the temperature of the drink remains the same without changing the outside temperature of the bottle. Plastic screw cap for drinking on the go and a removable lid for refilling.

Heat retention has been calculated under the condition of adding hot water at 95±1°C and leaving it in room temperature. After 1 hour the temperature was 87±1°C and after 6 hours greater than 68±1°C

Cold retention has been calculated under the condition of adding cold water at 2±1°C and leaving it in a room temperature. After 6 hours the temperature was less than 9±1°C.
