Fitted Furniture Buying Guide.

All you need to know about buying the right fitted furniture for your bathroom or en-suite space.

When choosing your fitted furniture, there are a number of factors to consider. To help you make an informed decision, follow our step-by-step guide opposite.

Fitted Furniture Buying Guide

Step 1

Carcass + Panels

Your first step is to select your carcass. Consider your room size – is it for a family bathroom or smaller en-suite? Most fitted furniture runs will consist of a semicountertop basin unit and back to wall WC unit. Panels hide the carcass at each end.

Step 2 Cistern + Flush Button

If you are installing a back to wall WC unit you will need a cistern as it provides flushing water to the pan. You will also need a flush button or flush plate.

Step 3 Fascia Packs

Our fascia packs are available in three styles – Shaker, Slab or J-Pull. Semicountertop fascia packs comprise two doors and a top fascia. Back to wall fascia packs mask the carcass and cistern and plinths mask the gap below the carcass.

Step 4 Worktop or Integrated Basin

Choose either a worktop or integrated basin with worktop, available in slim or standard depths. Our worktops are available in a variety of lengths and finishes.

Step 5 Sanitaryware

Select from a wide variety of contemporary or traditional basins, back to wall or wall hung pans to suit your style and complement your fitted furniture selection.

Step 6 Choose Accessories

How to Order Your Fitted Furniture

Adding the finishing touches to your fitted furniture creates a unified look and maximises the space available in your bathroom. All units have soft close hinges and basin units feature an adjustable shelf, removable back panel for easy pipe access and a 50mm plumbing void. Floor cupboards have a reversible door for ease of access.

Choose from 3 door styles in a range of contemporary finishes, work out which mix of units works best for your space and then add all the finishing touches. It’s easy to plan your new bathroom, simply follow the step-by-step guide below.

1. Door Styles + Finishes

Choose your desired door finish in either ‘slab’, ‘shaker’ or ‘J-Pull’ style.

Combination + Depth of Units (Pages 70-74)

Assess the space you have available in your bathroom + work out which units you need. Choose from standard depth (353mm) or space-saving slim depth (218mm) units.

3. Handles (Page 75)

Choose your handle style from the 11 available options.

Select a worktop from either our Strata solid surface or laminate options.

6. Sanitaryware (Pages 82-127)

Alternatively, for a sleek contemporary look, opt for our Isocast worktops with integrated basin, available to fit both standard and slim depth units.

Choose sanitaryware options from the wide range of semi-countertop basins and back to wall WC pans.

Comfort Height Pan. Short Projection Pan.

What’s the difference?

Comfort Height Pans

Comfort height pans are designed to ensure that the bowl and seat height is such that they make for comfortable use. Typically comfort height pans are 450mm and above (standard height pans are approximately 400mm in height) and can be particularly useful for the elderly and people with mobility issues.

Short Projection Pans

A short projection pan means that it has a shorter depth than standard, and therefore does not protrude as far, taking up less floor space. Typical short projection pans are 620mm* and below (standard projection pans are typically above 620mm). A short projection pan is ideal for a small bathroom or cloakroom suite. *620mm is relevant to Close Coupled suites. Below 500mm is considered short projection for Back to Wall and Wall Hung Pans.

Hand finished in the UK to the most exacting of standards, Instinct Cast and Premiercast baths are durable and strong with a reassuring substantial weight, perfect for all bathrooms.

Instinct Premiercast

The ultimate premium acrylic bath

All Instinct Premiercast baths are constructed by hand. Firstly the bath is formed from high quality 5mm acrylic, then a full timber supporting frame is added to both the base of the bath and the underside of the rim. This creates a strong base to then apply by hand, 7 layers of fibreglass core matting. Between each layer a resin bonding adhesive is applied which, when dry creates a super strong encapsulated bonded core. Finally the bath is coated with a mix of resin and blue paint, which provides a smooth and superstrength final bonded surface.

All Instinct Cast baths are constructed by both hand and Automated processes, for efficiency and speed. The first process is to form the bath from high quality 5mm acrylic, then a full timber supporting frame is added to both the base of the bath and the underside of the rim. This creates a strong base for a Fibreglass sprayed layer to be applied, encapsulating the timber frame creating a durable and strong bath. Finally the bath is coated with a mix of resin and grey paint, which provides a smooth and strong final bonded surface.
