RMT Stations and Clerical Admin Update

RMT wins improved pay offer! Your RMT representatives have been pressing Transport for Wales for several months for a fair offer to address the outstanding 2024 pay claim. Progress, it is fair to say, has been painstaking but because of the pressure applied by RMT the company has recently tabled the following offer which was endorsed by the RMT National Executive Committee following a member’s consultation: •
Year One - 5% increase applicable from 1st April 2024

Year Two - RPI increase (February 2025) applicable from 1st April 2025
•
No compulsory redundancy agreement
RMT members should be in no doubt that it is their strength of determination which has achieved progress in these negotiations achieving an increase more than that achieved in other Train Operating Companies. Unity is Strength!
Stations Restructuring Initiative (SRI) In addition to the above, negotiations are ongoing in respect of the proposed Stations Restructuring Initiative (SRI) applicable to Station Grades’ members. These negotiations are complex, covering several proposed areas, but please be assured that your RMT representatives are determined to secure the best possible proposal from the company and to protect existing terms & conditions. It is important to note that no agreement has been reached at this stage and that any eventual agreement would require a successful referendum of RMT members.
RMT the ONLY Union for All Station Grades! RMT is the only union that can negotiate for all Station Grades and any referendum for those grades will be applicable to RMT members only. For clarity recognition for Station Grades is as follows:
