This practice-based research is the second iteration of a project that looks at generative modelling for a HAB (house) on the coast. Ideas of geomorphology, erosion and striation have been investigated through 3d modelling software, Rhino, and combined with modelling and simulation software packages, Ameba and Blender, to digitally sculpt the house and mass, optimise the structure and placement of openings and the interior volume. Importantly, the relationship between client briefing, consultant advice (bush fire rating and structure) and site conditions (wind and vegetation) have been combined with this modelling and simulation software to form an iterative workflow sequence that provides adequate control of geometry as the speculative project progresses to being built.
