Ready to lead a less complicated life? When it comes to your living environment, sometimes bigger isn’t better. A smaller, more compact home offers many benefits without sacrificing comfort.
Right-sizing your lifestyle Smaller-space living can be big on benefits ! By PAULA HUBBS COHEN
P
eople at various stages of life often downsize their living spaces to a still very comfortable, yet more manageable size. For some folks, that might mean a condominium, which tend to have — but this certainly isn’t always the case — a bit less square-footage than some single-family homes. For others, downsizing might really be more about right-sizing — or right-lifestyling, depending on the circumstances — into an independent and/or assisted living community. One example of right-sizing your lifestyle into a condominium is Monterey Ridge by Cachet Homes, a gated luxury condominium community nestled on the North Phoenix/Scottsdale border. Monterey Ridge has five distinct single-level floorplans ranging in size from 1,091 to 1,870 square-feet. “Each unit includes a two-car garage and additional storage,” said Sue Goodrich, vice president of sales and marketing for Cachet Homes. Cachet builds single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums, including condos at Cachet at The Wigwam [in Litchfield Park] and Monterey Ridge. Goodrich noted that each nine-plex building at Monterey Ridge has an elevator for easy access from the garage to the front door.
“At 1,870 square-feet, our larger floorplan has room for your favorite furniture pieces.” —SUE GOODRICH, Cachet Homes A different example of right-sizing your lifestyle is The Manor Village at Scottsdale, a boutique independent and assisted living community located near Loop 101 and Shea Boulevard. Suites at The Manor Village range in size from 715 to 1,011 square-feet and include full kitchens, spacious living rooms and large bedrooms, said Shawn Halla Gallé, the community’s executive director. She added that there is also additional storage on each resident’s private balcony. RIGHT-SIZING, continued on page 8
