September 11, 2025, Lo-ok National High School Cheers and school pride filled the air as the much-anticipated District 7 Sports Meet 2025 officially opened with hundreds of athletes from both public and private schools joining the festivities

The participating schools included St. Alphonsus Catholic School, San Lorenzo Ruiz School, Lo-ok National High School, Poblacion Elementary School, Poblacion Night High School, Timpolok Elementary School, Lo-ok Elementary School, Canjulao Elementary School, and Lapu-Lapu City Central Elementary School (LLCCES)

The event began with a vibrant parade of athletes and coaches, which commenced from Lo-ok National High School to the street of Caltex Rd in Barangay Looc and proceeded back toward the opening venue at LNHS gymnasium. With banners aving, balloons, and chants echoing from the participating schools, the parade set the tone for a collaborative celebration of sportsmanship and unity

The program highlights included the rousing yell presentations of each participating school, showcasing not only energy but also the creativity of the students The symbolic lighting of the torch drew

cheers from the crowd, signifying the official start of the competitions This was followed by the solemn Oath of Amateurism, led by Mahonri Duero and the lighting of urn by Francis Victor Dignos- City Palaro 2024 Silver Medalist for Basketball Category, reminding all participants of the true essence of sports: fairness, respect, and integrity and dropping of the flag banner carrying the different participating schools

Declaring the games open was Dr Sinfronia Berdin, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), who in her message reiterated, "Bawat hakbang ay patunay ng tapang na isinilang ng ating pangarap". Which she also underscored the value of discipline, teamwork, and determination in shaping both athletes and learners As she added, "Winning is not just accepting medals, ito ay mula sa puso at diwa na lumalaban ng marangal"
