Dear Members,
I hope all of you are enjoying the summer and time with your family!
The Club had a good turnout for the 4th of July celebration at the Club for fireworks and at the pool for bike parade, BBQ, boat race and pool games. The pool Cabana menu and service enhancements have been well received with Staff taking orders around the pool deck, delivering food to your chair and expanding the drink and food options. The Club swim team, River Run Rapids, had a great season led by Coach, Amaya Hanley. They finished up the season at the Champs Meet in 2nd place amongst six teams.
The golf course continues to receive favorable reviews as Josh Budds and his team have truly elevated the golf course conditions for Members and guests. This sentiment was reinforced at the Ladies and Men’s Member Member events played in May/June and from all the Club Championship participants.
We are having a fantastic year with new Members joining the Club and we now have a waitlist for the Golf Membership category. Our budget was $628,640 in initiation fee revenue for this year, and we have already achieved this in July. This along with revenue from the capital fee and new member assessments is providing the Club a healthy cash flow position and has allowed us to not use the construction loan for the Our Club, Our Home Capital Improvement Plan. We do anticipate tapping into this starting August/September of this year, but this is several months past our original projection.
The Staff and Committees have started discussions for creating innovative ideas for events, activities and programming during the time the golf course is shut down next year April through August. Tim Mooney, Director of Golf, is currently contacting courses around the area to setup reciprocity. We look forward to coming up with additional programming that will make next summer a fun filled experience.
Hope to see you around the Club soon!
Wes Marshall General Manager

We thought we were close to having courts ready for play two weeks ago and then found an issue in the asphalt with the three pickleball courts and one of the hard tennis courts. We saw the top layer of asphalt was peeling away with the coatings and paint in various areas. This led to having cores tested and they came back with deficiencies in the compaction rate of the asphalt. There was a good amount of discussion last week on the best way to remediate the problem and I’m happy to report our Contractor agreed to tear out all of the asphalt and will replace with new. We aren’t happy with another delay in completing the project, but we want the courts done right and not have problems down the road. Once the new asphalt is installed, there is a 28-day cure time before leveling, painting and striping the courts. We anticipate having all courts playable by the end of September. Currently, 2 tennis and 2 pickleball courts are open and available to book on the Member Website
