Love for Brewery District
I have lived here at Sapperton for almost ten years, and I can't imagine leaving anytime soon This area and community are genuinely so wonderful and interesting to explore. I spend a lot of time at Sapperton Landing Park, and the Fraser Cemetery, both are absolutely beautiful all year round. The amount of awesome restaurants makes me feel so spoiled, from Greens and Beans to Gino's, and all the great little spots to grab a good coffee.

I’m Adam, an exuberant graphic artist from New Westminster, BC. I love to infuse my work with vibrant, contrasting colours and bold, edgy designs. I have a passion for painting animals and creatures using a fantastic feeling of wild energy, intertwining geometric shapes with contrasting colours. I am inspired by the wide range of breathtaking mountains, scenic landscapes, and incredible flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest. I absolutely love what I do; painting and creating are my greatest passions in life. Being a freelance artist for almost ten years, and drawing since I could hold a crayon, I feel grateful every day that I am able to do art for a living Every day, I have the privilege of painting and creating people's visions with the guidance of my years of experience I hope to paint murals and even bigger pieces in the future I would love to expand my work to bigger and more ambitious projects I wake up every day, excited to start something new and to experiment with more mediums and styles to work in Art feels like an adventure I can't wait to go on.

ALIVE was a 30th birthday gift to myself. Work had been so busy the year leading up to it, and I hadn't really had time to paint something more personal or take time to experiment with different styles on my own. I took my time and planned out the sketch carefully, listened to all my favourite music, and made sure to fully immerse myself in the creative process of making it. I find I work best when I have an easel set up and can dance around a bit while deciding what lines to add next It was really important to me for this piece to celebrate everything I have learned up until then, and to encapsulate myself and my art into one painting

I concentrated on keeping the linework and colours clean and precise, but also paid close attention to the flow and energy of the piece My favourite thing to paint is wolves, monstery-looking wolves with fantastically exaggerated teeth, big bright eyes and angular fur I've done many, many paintings like this before, but I wanted this one to be really special I used the primary colours red, yellow, and blue, a nod to the three basic colours from which all others can be created. This painting is important to me, and I'm thankful to be able to share the meaning behind it. I hope to make more art like this, pulled from my heart and soul and inspired by all the things I love about creating art.

As the owner of The Silent Gardener Ltd, I began my horticulture journey at KPU 35 years ago, earning my Horticulture Technician Certificate I have a certification in grounds maintenance, and I am a Certified ISA Arborist Horticulture is a trade I am a Skilled Trades Red Seal landscape Horticulturist Sponsor. We have one Red Seal Horticulturist on staff, and several employees are currently working toward their Red Seal. Our supervisors hold various horticulture certifications. On February 3rd in Toronto, The Silent Gardener Ltd was awarded the 2026 Canadian Nursery Landscape Association Sustainable Solutions award

Khalifa may be small, but she is mighty At just three pounds, this apricot toy poodle carries a gentle spirit and unmistakable superstar energy. She has a way of stopping people in their tracks - hearts instantly open, voices soften, smiles widen, and strangers become instant friends She’s so tiny I’ve lovingly nicknamed her my “pocket poodle,” because she truly fits in a pocket Often described as so delicate she seems almost like a toy, people can hardly believe she’s real - yet it’s her calm confidence that leaves the strongest lasting impression.
Her name, Khalifa, means successor or deputy - a title she wears with true purpose She came into my life after the passing of my beloved cat Marshall, who was with me for 18 years. Marshall held the role of constant companion with great dedication, and when he left, that position needed a deputy. I had never owned a dog before, but Khalifa arrived not as a replacement - rather, as a natural successor - continuing a legacy of love, companionship, and pres designated as my emotional support animal, s 24/7 guide into life’s new chapter.
