I’ll confess: golf isn’t my game. But as an artist I appreciate the history, prints, textures and traditions of the game.
My brother-in-law Mike is an avid golfer and I can’t help but admire the wide array of plaid pants, eccentric shorts and more that he happily wears on the course. The clubs, greens and gorgeous grounds are also visual fodder for my artist’s eye.

I am so excited to share this new collection with you. Amethyst & Ivy was inspired by the beautiful Art Deco movement of 100 years ago. This style was filled with luxurious materials, sleek lines, geometric symmetry, and bold colors. Quilting also reflects some of the same elements—with repeating patterns, geometric lines, and beautiful style. The colors I used are reflective of luxurious jewels, metals and bold optimism of the time. I can’t wait to see the beautiful creations you make with my new collection!

My childhood summers were spent in our Pace Arrow motorhome (it’s hand-drawn and featured in this collection). I spent miles and miles in that motorhome sitting and drawing in my notebook, looking out the window, and seeing the beautiful landscapes of the United States and Canada. Each night, we’d pull into a campground, make a fire, and look at the stars. To this day, the smell of redwood trees and a crackling fire takes me right back to my younger self, being with my family, and making memories. The Upper Pines collection reminds me of the connection that happens when we get outside and spend time in nature and with the ones we love.
