Among those who threw at least 70 innings in the Low-A South Atlantic League, Brennan was tied for the lowest walk rate (2.9%).

With the Sun Devils, Bueno made just 35 appearances because of injuries, including “Tommy John” surgery in 2016. Before going under the knife, he was the Friday night starter for Arizona State, but just made two starts before sustaining the UCL injury.

Before being promoted to Frisco in 2021, Foscue hit home runs in seven-straight games for the Hickory Crawdads. He entered the year as the No. 5 prospect in the Rangers system according to MLB.com.

POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 1/14/98 | HEIGHT: 6’5” | WEIGHT: 240 HOMETOWN: PHOENIX, AZ Huff was picked by the Rangers in the seventh round of the 2016 draft after leading Arizona prep hitters with 14 homers his senior season at Arcadia High School. The six-foot, five-inch catcher burst onto the scene as a top-5 prospect in the Rangers system in 2019 when he blasted 28 home runs between Low-A Hickory and High-A Down East. In 2020, he debuted with the Rangers on September 11th, becoming the youngest catcher since Jarrod Saltalamacchia in 2007 (22 years old) to make his debut. He is the No. 2 prospect in the Rangers system entering 2021.

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 2/24/98 | HEIGHT: 6’3” | WEIGHT: 208 HOMETOWN: HENRICO, VA Kent was picked from Virginia Military Institute in the ninth round of the 2019 draft by the Rangers after a wonderful career with the Keydets. His final year with VMI, Kent set a school record, led the Southern Conference and ranked ninth in the nation with 132 strikeouts. To start 2021, Kent went 6-2 over 14 games with a 2.83 ERA, striking out 78 over 60.1 innings with High-A Hickory before being promoted to Frisco.

POSITION: PITCHER | DOB: 8/13/98 | HEIGHT: 6’0” | WEIGHT: 170 HOMETOWN: BIRMINGHAM, AL A native of Birmingham, Lee attempted to walk-on to the Alabama baseball team his freshman year but did not make the team in a tryout. After dropping down to throw sidearm and pitching for the club team, he made the Alabama baseball and became one of the best relievers in Crimson Tide history. Lee left with the career ERA mark there at 1.87 before being drafted by the Rangers in the sixth round of the 2021 draft.

While mostly out of the bullpen, Mendez filled in as a starter as well, making 24 starts out of 58 total games in the two years.

POSITION: CATCHER | DOB: 6/17/96 | HEIGHT: 5’11” | WEIGHT: 215 HOMETOWN: NANDAIME, NICARAGUA Novoa spent both 2018 and 2019 see-sawing between Low-A Hickory and High-A Down East and had offensive success with the Crawdads in 2019. That season, he set career highs in home runs (12) and RBIs (53) while pegging 34.5 percent of base runners from behind the plate. The catcher is trying to become just the 16th player from Nicaragua to make The Show.

Two months later, the Rangers picked him up and tried to move him to the mound, after just throwing 12 innings, he had to have “Tommy John” surgery and has returned with a triple-digits fastball.

POSITION: CATCHER | DOB: 3/11/93 | HEIGHT: 5’10” | WEIGHT: 185 HOMETOWN: CALGARY, CAN Pronounced pro-SESH-en, the 28-year-old has seen plenty of action over his six seasons in professional baseball. Originally drafted by the Red Sox in the 14th round of the 2014 draft out of Northern Kentucky, Procyshen spent five seasons in the Boston organization before heading to the Dodgers’ High-A and Double-A in 2019.

After undergoing two ‘Tommy John’ surgeries, he missed the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons. He started 2021 in High-A Hickory before playing the 2021 All-Star Futures Game and debuting in Double-A Frisco the same week.

The Rangers drafted him as a pitcher in the 21st round of the 2018 draft and he has impressed since. In 2019, between Short Season Low-A Spokane and Low-A Hickory, he went 2-1 with a 0.99 ERA in 20 appearances while he threw in just four games before being promoted to Frisco.

POSITION: INFIELDER | DOB: 8/7/97 | HEIGHT: 5’10” | WEIGHT: 172 HOMETOWN: BATON ROUGE, LA Smith was a key piece in the trade that sent Joey Gallo and Joely Rodriguez to the Yankees, coming over to the Rangers with infielders Ezequiel Duran and Trevor Hauver in addition to pitcher Glen Otto. Smith starred at LSU, hitting .313/.420/.478 over three years before being drafted in the second round by New York. While at LSU, Smith was named SEC Academic Honor Roll all three seasons. The Baton Rouge, La. native is the No. 7 prospect in the Rangers system.

Originally drafted as a starter, Speas was migrated to the bullpen in 2017 and has racked up the swings and misses, striking out 13.4 per nine innings over his minor league career.

The former Louisville Cardinal was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 2018 draft’s second round, but was shipped to New York for infielder Shed Long a year later. Stowers was a Third-Team All-American in 2018 at Louisville after hitting .336 with nine home runs, 60 RBIs and 36 steals.

Originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the seventh round of the 2017 draft, the lefty was traded to Texas for pitcher Jesse Chavez. Before being drafted, Thomas was a 1st-Team All-Mountain West selection at Fresno State both his sophomore and junior seasons.
