Stasio, who played collegiately in Texas at Baylor, signed with Texas as a free agent for the 2026 season to make his Minor League debut. The 24year old also made one scoreless appearance with Triple-A Round Rock earlierintheseason,coveringtwoinnings.
No one would’ve blamed the 2025 Frisco RoughRiders for feeling like a victim of the Minor League Baseball playoff format.Lastseason,theRiders finished with the best overall record in the Texas League South, but, by virtue of the automatic postseason bids for just the first half and second half champions, missed the playoffsforthefirsttimesince 2021.
Outside of that season, which had a different playoff format following the COVID-19 pandemic,itwasthefirsttime any Texas League team had won its division but failed to reach the playoffs since Springfieldin2017
