Each year I’ve been with the RoughRiders, we continue to take great steps forward when it comes to our community involvement, and 2018 was no exception. The RoughRiders Foundation was a steady presence throughout Frisco, Collin County and the rest of North Texas this year and it’s something in which we take great pride. We worked with so many great organizations and nonprofits in the region this year. Of course, we couldn’t make the impact without the generous support of our front office staff, players, coaches, and fans. I thank them wholeheartedly for helping make 2018 another great year for the RoughRiders Foundation and I am eager for us to take another stride forward in 2019. OUR MISSION
The Mission of the Frisco RoughRiders Foundation is to enhance the community we serve through charitable contributions, grants, and programming initiatives. The RoughRiders Foundation supports programs and organizations in our community that motivate and reward children and families in the areas of education, good health, and community service activities.

In 2018, the RoughRiders Foundation raised over $650,000 in monetary, and in-kind donations and logged over 1,000 volunteer hours.

COMMUNITY APPEARANCES Deuce, Daisy, Bull Moose, and Ted E. Bear brought laughs and their fun dance moves to communities across North Texas in 2018. They made more than 150 appearances at 5K’s, school fundraisers, birthdays, and other community events. for more information email: community@ridersbaseball.com

SPEAKER’S BUREAU The RoughRiders Speaker’s Bureau attend local schools, clubs, non-profits, and other organizations to share our experiences whether it be motivational, informational, or for a special event. for more information email: community@ridersbaseball.com

healthy fit challenge The RoughRiders go to local schools and hold kick-off assemblies to educate students on the importance of a healthy lifestyle through exercise and proper nutrition. 12
RIDERS IN THE COMMUNITY When it comes to giving back to our community there is no offseason for our RoughRiders players and staff. We would like to say a big “Thank You� to everyone in the RoughRiders Organization for collectively volunteering over 1,000 hours in our community this year. These hours are equivalent to over $15,000 worth of labor. Without the RoughRiders players and staff, the RoughRiders Foundation would not be able to assist the wide variety of non-profits, schools, and community partners in our area.

VOLUNTEER LOCATIONS We were thankful to serve at Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue, Boys and Girls Club of Collin County, Children’s Health Plano and Dallas, Cornerstone Ranch, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Frisco Fastpacs, Habitat for Humanity, Minnie’s Food Pantry, Operation Kindness, Redbud Place, Seven Loaves, Society of the Prevention of Cruelty, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Streetside Showers, and more!

RECYCLING PROGRAM The RoughRiders partnered with Adopt-A-Street to have a recycling effort during 8 games, totaling 482 volunteer hours.

BAIRFIND The BairFind Foundation, founded in Jacksonville, Florida, is a non-profit organization with the goal of getting the public involved in the search for missing children. The RoughRiders are proud to support this initiative by raising awareness of missing children profiles on our playground.

CASINO NIGHT What happens in Frisco, stays in Frisco! This night was dedicated to saying thank you to all of our corporate partners and season ticket holders for their support throughout the 2018 season. Funds raised at Casino Night allow the RoughRiders Foundation to partner with community groups in Collin County. This year we raised over $6,000 for our foundation through ticket sales, a silent auction, and extra casino chips purchased.

RIDERS CLASSIC The RoughRiders Foundation hosted the 10th Annual Riders Classic golf tournament this year at Stonebriar Country Club. Thank you to all who participated for helping raise over $10,000 benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Collin County’s bus fund.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM The RoughRiders Foundation awarded 10 outstanding graduating high school seniors a $1,000 scholarship to go towards their higher education. Each recipient was selected by the RoughRiders Foundation Board of Directors based on academic merit, financial need, and athletic accomplishments. We are proud to recognize the following North Texas high school seniors and 2018 RoughRiders Foundation Scholarship Program recipients.

15TH ANNIVERSARY This year the RoughRiders celebrated the franchise 15th Anniversary. One weekend was dedicated to special tributes to great players, coaches, and moments from the franchises first 15 seasons.

FOUNDATION OF THE NIGHT The RoughRiders hosted 32 different non-profits as the Foundation of the Night throughout the 2018 season. Foundation of the Night is a fundraising opportunity for non-profit organizations to team up to sell tickets and earn back a portion of the ticket sales to benefit their organization.

50/50 RAFFLE This year the RoughRiders Foundation introduced the 50/50 Raffle to Dr Pepper Ballpark. At each game, half of the raffle ticket sales benefited a pre-selected organization and the other half was won by a very lucky fan!

JERSEY OFF MY BACK The RoughRiders hosted 7 “Jersey Off My Back� auctions during the 2018 season to give fans the opportunity to meet RoughRiders players and receive their autographed game-worn jersey. All the proceeds from the auctions benefitted a local non-profit organization. The RoughRiders Foundation raised over $25,000 for local non-profits by auctioning off players jerseys in 2018.

TEACHER OF THE MONTH The RoughRiders Teacher of the Month presented by CoServ recognized 5 exceptional North Texas school teachers for their dedication to North Texas students and the community. Each teacher was recognized and celebrated at a RoughRiders game for their great work. The 5 teachers each received a $500 donation and were recognized at a RoughRiders game with an on-field check presentation. The $500 donation was split between the winner’s school district education foundation and the teacher’s school. The teacher also received the VIP experience at Dr Pepper Ballpark which included 4 tickets with complimentary parking, food, and beverages. April May June July august

MVP PROGRAM The RoughRiders MVP Student program presented by North Texas Municipal Water District was designed to be an instrument for teachers to reward, motivate and honor their students. The program utilizes RoughRiders tickets as the “tool� and targets fifth grade teachers and students. The RoughRiders hosted their 9th annual RoughRiders MVP Program at Dr Pepper Ballpark this past season. More than 1,000 fifth grade teachers from over 20 school districts were able to motivate and reward more than 1,700 students by providing them with RoughRiders tickets, gifts, and a night of celebration at the ballpark.

WHATABURGER KIDS NIGHT OUT On August 19th and 26th, the RoughRiders partnered with Whataburger for Kids Night Out. The RoughRiders donated nearly 700 tickets to local organizations so families and individuals could enjoy a night out at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Thanks to the generosity of whataburger and loyal RoughRiders fans, deserving kids throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area were able to experience a RoughRiders game and receive a free t-shirt. 32
RIDERS KIDS CLUB The RoughRiders Kids Club presented by InTouch Credit Union allowed our youngest fans to make many memories in 2018 beyond RoughRiders games. The Kids Club offered Riders fans 13 and under access to behind the scenes, one of a kind opportunities. All members received a free RoughRiders hat, a ticket to a home game, discount at the Rider Outpost, and exclusive access to events just for Kids Club Members.

BASEBALL ACADEMIES The RoughRiders Foundation hosted 10 camps and clinics for youth baseball players during 2018. During each camp and clinic, participants had the opportunity to give back to multiple non-profits. Organizations we served: North Texas Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, PAWS Program, Streetside Showers, Peanut Butter Drive for North Texas Food Bank (twice), Back to School Supply Drive, Treats for Troops

GIRL POWER NIGHT For the first time ever the RoughRiders hosted a “Girl Power� baseball clinic. This clinic was dedicated to young girls who wanted to learn baseball skills.

MIRACLE LEAGUE The RoughRiders brought the full Dr Pepper ballpark experience to the Miracle League of Frisco Fields. Riders players spent the day visiting special needs children ages 5-18 and took turns pitching and coaching kids.

PLAY BALL The RoughRiders held a pre-game PLAY BALL event to encourage kids to get outside and engage in baseball or softball related activities. RoughRiders player, Jose Trevino, and Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney joined participants in activities on the field.

RELIANT HOME RUN DERBY The Dallas Cowboys hosted their 7th Annual Reliant Home Run Derby at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Dallas Cowboy stars Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, and DeMarcus Lawrence were among those who put their baseball hitting skills to the test to raise $50,000 for The Salvation Army.

HEROES CELEBRITY BASEBALL GAME Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki held his Annual Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

RED RIVER CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME Texas and Oklahoma legends squared off in a slow-pitch softball game at Dr Pepper Ballpark to benefit the Toby Keith Foundation and the Roger Clemens Foundation. Matthew McConaughey, Toby Keith, and Roger Clemens were among those in attendance.

SPRING EGGSTRAVAGANZA The 2018 Eggstravaganza brought Riders fans and families together for a morning of Easter egg hunting in the Dr Pepper Ballpark outfield. It was an egg-cellent time!!

fall festival To kick off this 2018 holiday season, fans, families, and players gathered at Dr Pepper Ballpark in their best costumes for a fun morning of pumpkin painting, face painting, costume contests, and good company.

WINTER WONDERLAND The RoughRiders and Toys for Tots teamed up to transform Dr Pepper Ballpark into a Winter Wonderland and collected more than 11,000 toys for Toys For Tots.
