Holiday magic lights up the park Valley Stream began its holiday celebrations with the village tree lighting last Friday in Hendrickson Park, drawing families to WinterFest, which ended Sunday. The event featured jitney rides, fire barrels, children’s arts and crafts at the Community Center, food trucks, the Christmas Market, letters to Santa, hot chocolate served by the Boy Scouts, student singing groups, Breakfast with Santa and outdoor photo sessions. Families walked through the park’s expanded light displays, which will continue to attract residents and visitors throughout the month. Story, more photos, Page 3.
