MINORITY WOMEN OWNED BUSINESS

Q: If you weren’t in the industry you’re in now, where would you be?

A: My career was never a straight path - I built it in real time. I started on a full scholarship studying medicine, then moved through public health, government, communications, government affairs, and media - with each chapter leading me to the next. What looked like detours was actually the foundation for the work I do now. So if I weren’t in this industry, I’d probably be inventing one that looked a lot like it.

POWER TEAM AWARDS

Drive Fore Success (DFS) is redefining what it means to build relationships and confidence in the world of business and golf. Founded by Patti Kielawa, Elene Bara, Melissa Naeder, and Erin O’Brien, DFS was created to empower women to step onto the golf course with confidence, skill, and purpose.

Recognizing that golf has long served as a powerful platform for networking and business development—yet has historically been maledominated—the founders saw a clear gap. Many professional women expressed interest in participating but felt held back by inexperience or lack of confidence. Drive Fore Success was born to change that narrative.

Through hands-on clinics, mentorship, and a supportive community, DFS equips women with both the technical skills of the game and the etiquette needed to feel comfortable in any golfing environment. More importantly, it fosters a sense of belonging — transforming hesitation into confidence, and participation into opportunity.

What began as an idea rooted in inclusion has grown into a movement that blends sport, empowerment, and professional advancement. Participants consistently report not only improved golf skills, but stronger networks, increased confidence, and meaningful business connections.

Drive Fore Success is building more than golfers — it’s building a tradition of confidence, connection, and excellence for women in business.
