Wonderland, here they come Rehearsals are underway for the North Merrick School District’s rendition of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ at Brookside School with students from Camp Avenue, Old Mill Road and Harold D. Fayette elementary schools. Dozens of young performers are practicing lines and songs to bring the story’s colorful characters to life, from the curious Alice to the energetic Mad Hatter and the everhurried White Rabbit. The production, which teaches students teamwork, confidence and creativity, will be performed March 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. at Brookside School, 1260 Meadowbrook Rd.
