Walnut Street students presented their ‘Passport to Hispanic Heritage’ project to the Board of Education on Oct. 15.

In a vibrant celebration of culture and diversity, Walnut Street Elementary School dedicated Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, to a schoolwide interactive project. The Uniondale school district Board of Education recently recognized staff members from across the district, honoring the work they do every day to keep the district safe and maintained. ciation for the support he has received from students and staff over the years. “They would see me on TV, little shows and things here and there,” he said. “The level of support I got from them was just so welcoming.” Adams also reflected on his experiences as a Uniondale student with one of his former teachers, Nancy Roloson.
