We support that. The Birch PTA in the Merrick Union Free School District kicked off the new school year with a fall festival on Sept. 13. The event featured popcorn, cotton candy, pizza, carnival games, a GaGa Ball pit, a DJ, and a dance party. Teachers joined in on the fun as the community celebrated the start of the school year.
